UPDATE:
- 20 / 07 / 24.
Now it’s 8mins 40seconds. Couple of subtle note changes in the intro. Changed a few sounds throughout ( got rid of whistle sound on break melidy replaced with another, but could bring it back as not sure which is better) , modified others, and added a few new melodic elements. Cleaned up the bass sound. Added more of my own vocal with different fx in the 1st break. ( maybe repeated too much). . Changed arrangement slightly. It’s got as far as the start of the second break. Looks like it could turn out a 12 minute track when complete.
Feedback most welcome especially on structure.

Does this sound like a complete track yet? Il add a few energy raisers , little trinkets to introduce other sounds. So currently is still a bit straight. But my concern is, the last section / break. It has a slight variation in vibe and may sound like a remix of the main element of the tracks first sections rather than part of it.
Also I altered the LFO on the kick. Not sure if it sounds better or worse.

thoughts guys?

Typing this as I have a listen on a somewhat crappy sound system at work, but I like it so far. Will have a proper listen when I'm off work and back home.
Got a lot of catching up to do on TF anyway besides lurking around

But anyway, I like the track so far and the only little thing I can point out right now is that at the end the melody abruptly stops, but it's a WIP so my guess is that will change

It’s kind of an attempt for a play in calm / intense/ calm, then the Storm. But I do see what you mean. Maybe I haven’t pulled it of right yet or perhaps it’s not the right idea for a trance track.

Hey, I don't quite understand the idea of progressive chill trance (different state of mind ^^), so don't take this too personally. I wanted to mention the amazing sounds you used; there's a lot happening in the highs and mids, but nothing clashes. If I had to nitpick, the hi-hat that comes in at 3:27 stands out from the rest; it sounds empty and too quiet, though this effect disappears later in the mix—it seems like you're automating the volume. Interesting melody and overall concept, just a nice track.

Incidentally, wasn’t sure if you meant not enough bass, but I do find putting in bass hard on some tracks. I think il get a mate to eq it.

Finally had a proper listen and I must say this track suits the current weather over here...nice and warm.

I like the variety throughout the track. The silence in the intro is a bit strange but for me its a moment that grabs my attention.

I also like the kick it's nice and tight.

I’m not sure about the last break ( I think it’s called break ? ), the final long section. I’m wandering if the current energy flow there doesn't sync with the rest of the track? ( I could be wrong) Cheers

Done some changes. ( less silent gaps ) Levels need sorting (esp melody) but I like how the energy builds in first main break now ( bit of an energy rush in one area I think ) Got to develop last break etc and do an outro / ending. . Getting happier with this now!

Take a listen to the section near 4:30. For me it's not very listenable, lots of clashing between frequencies. Earlier versions were a bit more pleasant on the ears (as your works often are).

Yes. I felt this during the track. Will look into fixing this. I feel it is more bass frequencies clashing. Might be the master plugin doing it to compensate something ( ideally shouldn’t have used it but other levels were quite wrong without it). …..Scrap that. Listening again, it’s an issue with the lead sounds. Too much reverb by layering 4 sounds. Maybe il completely redo the sound and just ‘attempt’ to use 1 ‘Blow your mind’ type sound. ( maybe from my hardware synths to make it more present) No swirling multi layers of reverb. This often causes issues but I try to always experiment and try reaching for that different sound. Often futile though lol. Maybe il go for a sharper thicker sound to eliminate need for so much wavering reverb .

I hope you like the feel of the track tho ( and possibly structure on the latest from 3rd September) . If you didn’t hear the 3rd September version. No need to. Il try get everything fixed before posting another version. ( 3rd sept version just has main melody added in 2nd break)
