Had no idea Quietman active again, either. Checked out the tracks from the previous posts and instantly bought them, together with some others. Great sounds!

Ok, so.... my opinion is that Full Throttle is an example of next level trance. I've had a listen to the other new releases recommended above and they are the same. Not surprising really as Quietman is Laurence Elliot-Potter, whose other aliases include Freon and Larry Lush. He's one of the top 50% producers from the 90s and 00s.
What's really interesting is comparing this production to the 'Nu-Trance' material that's posted on this forum, and seeing how far superior it is. Don't wish to offend anyone's tastes, but I find 99.9% of all nu trance stuff to be lacking, far inferior and impossible to get excited over.
None of the modern producers are capable of stepping up to this level. Not so much in terms of technical skill, although that is also somewhat the case, but mainly in terms of creativity, musicality and soul. This is disappointing, but not surprising considering that the scene and the times are very different nowadays.

Amazing find. Just listened to all the tracks posted here and they are great. Full Throttle and Tamagotchi are just lovely. Much closer to the prog sound I am looking for today, bar some exceptions found in the current underground scene.

Unique, hypnotic, analogue and certainly full of passion.

Somewhere under the releases on their Bandcamp page, they've mentioned there's loads of new stuff and live performances.

I hear this sentiment on here a lot. I think that 0.1% is probably more like 3-4% in terms of the truly quality stuff, but that's a lot of noise to sort through, I get it. Also though, and I've mentioned this on here a lot, I think most of the producers that make so-called NuTrance aren't trying to make tracks like what you are after, it's almost like they are deliberately avoiding it. I am not sure the market is there to support the journey prog, nor is the average clubgoer looking for those tracks out either. Many of us here want it, but how big is this forum's rep in purchasing power anyway? (The full throttle remix has been purchased all of TWO times). I do think many of the producers are capable, they just aren't really willing to put in the effort to sell 15 copies of something that took months to produce, and also have the tracks played nowhere. Most of the best ones who dabbled in the trancey side of the underground have already moved on to other genres. I don't mean to be apathetic about it, I just don't see it happening. Meanwhile, the stripped back house and techno influenced stuff that has trance motifs, that stuff is getting played and has a scene and support.

I guess my main thought is, don't go in to a knife store seeking spoons and you won't be disappointed hehe. This stuff some of us dig isn't really targeting your average or classic trance fans, outside of a very small niche like the UTE club.

Usually from the profile squares underneath the release, although this is a bit misleading as purchases done through Bandcamp but without having an account will not display, nor will users who don't have profile pictures added. About 30% of purchases for TF releases don't usually show. Also as Quietman offers subscription, those users wont show either (I know because I subscribed and don't appear)

Full Throttle and Tamagotchi are so so good. You hear the way the synths and melodies come together and it just FEELS like it has the progressive touch and vibe that we loved so much in the past. It’s a way of doing things, it’s hard to explain what I mean. You just feel it in the choice of synth and how they work.
