(It's not the Goa trance producer which goes by the same name of the Egyptian sungod
)
1998 was an insane year for trance music.
So many gerat releases, artists and styles - I am still proud that I was able to witness that incredible year.
One of the real underground classics is the following track, part of an double tracker which was released on Larry Lush' (The one from Mr. Oz and Larry Lush) Label 'Lush Recordings' - An underground label with a few releases during the 90s - most of them is of high quality trance music, often with an melodic note.
And then there is this track: 'The Curse'.
Never heard such a trance track before, actually it is more techno than trance but it is so damn wicked..... fucking insane. I searched for this track for over 2 decades and after finally found it, it was a mind blowing experience. Every second of this tune is ...again, insane. Especially for the analog year 1998, long before digital effects became the standard. This is organic, raw, an original of its era.
I recommend to pitch it a bit, listen via headphones and play it LOUD. Then, It's perfection.
