I still can't believe that Armin's each crap new tune has more views and replies than his classics, obscure or legendary. Why can't we move on? He did...
I feel like the main reason -

- when talking about this forum specifically, Armin has a very controversial reputation. So any thread with the name "Armin" in it will inevitably attract everyone (those who hate, like or are indifferent), like a giant lump of shit would attract flies.

Does anyone else remember the tech trance track that sounded *just* like Fred Baker - Total Blackout? I think it was a collab between him and someone else, but I forgot the name

Nah I'd get it if it was circa 2015. But god, will some people just stop?
I guess the thing is that we don't have much stand out tracks getting released these days to get hyper about and peeps still need to discuss something and every week there's a new shitty track by Armin so you can start a thread (or visit an already exciting one) and tell that he put out another awful tune :) don't take it too serious

It is strange. This is from September 2022
2023 is looking very exciting. My artist album. New 00.db album and JOOF Recordings celebrates being 25 years old.

Well JOOF Recordings is still around, but the other stuff did not.

October 2023 update though still promises some things to come.
While I may have been quiet on the release front lately, I've been continuously writing. I assure you that my next artist album is on the horizon. My tracks are crafted from the tapestry of my own life stories, each one a reflection of personal experiences, whether good or bad. This is why I create music — to me, listening to a piece of music should be like peering into the soul of its creator, a moment of honest connection.

I hope my tracks offer you that connection. I may be a private person on the outside, but through my music, you get a rare glimpse of who I am inside.

My artist album will be ready very early next year.

I believe in 00.db album when I see the release date.

And to be honest, I am not all that excited about JOOF album either. Five years ago it would have been completely different thing, but it feels like JOOF-sound and my taste have went apart during the last few years. While the stuff the label is releasing is not bad, I miss the older days on JOOF (both John's own production as well as the label releases).

Thanks for the info guys, i guess will see it when it gets here. I guess TDB releasing many tracks on other labels could spell something for the album, maybe they should just cancel it assuming their styles and tasted have shifted away from each other but who knows.

John's ini-mini album Trancedent Voyage (i totally forgot about it) for audio Network was nice but i assume that this will not be his style anymore? I hope it's not gonna be full of lifeless progressive house...

Was listening to some older John OO Flemming tracks and wondered what happend to him producing tracks. Did he stop making music?
I'm pretty sure he's still making music, but more for OSTs and other commercial ventures (trailers, documentaries, etc.) Some of his work appeared on the Audio Network, who from what I understand, license out music to companies and filmmakers.

It's a perfectly valid way to make a living from music production, which keeps getting more and more competitive.

Edit: the best example is his Galactic Transmissions album

Another thing i've been wondering is why are their barely any remixes of The Digital Blonde's tracks?
My guess is that his tracks from trance's heyday (Electra/Legato) would have been the most likely candidates for remixers, but they would have been too tough to remix, or too niche. The Digital Blonde carved out a niche for dark, uplifting trance, but everyone else probably wanted to remix "normal" uplifting trance.

Synthology and Serenade were not famous at all. Remixes would usually want to remix famous/trendy songs, which is the complete opposite of those albums (and basically all of post-heyday trance The Digital Blonde). In his most recent productions, there isn't much that is distinguishable enough to warrant a remix, unfortunately.

Drill rap just heard about it. Apparently, it encourages gang violence and what not lifestyle.

oh thats nothing m8. I listen to Pirate Metal

which encourages rape, pillaging, alcohol-abuse and risky sailing in unsafe weather conditions

the latter two of which I actively engage in on a weekly basis 😏

Does anyone know why Saturate Audio stopped releasing?
no idea must be because basil decided to change sound.
