FREE DOWNLOAD ALERT!

Here is my rework of Sasha Xpander! This has been such a hard track to let go and say its finally finished, but every artist has to say at some point now is the time or it will never happen.

I hope you like my take on it. I have tried to stay true to that classic sound while still adding some of my own stamp. Xpander is one of those tracks that I would call a masterpiece and some would say to never be touched, but I wanted to do this for some fun :)

Enjoy!

Allan

I didn’t know that I need it ;) Proper work, @Allan_Morrow_AM_Studios ✌️

It seems there are no samples from the original, respect for making the sounds yourself! Only wish the buildup would have more tension/drama! It's the only thing missing from making this perfect. But this is only an opinion :p

Very good remix nonetheless

Very nice track and honourable remix of a timeless classic.

After the intro - That Mid bass Arp at about 1m is where the track starts to sound nice. (I realise intros often have to be DJ friendly). The track really builds nicely from there.

2.09 with the subtle Arp, really good introduction to the build of the main parts of the track.

Lovely arrangement & structure throughout, really nice, especially that part around 2.40- 3.20m. (I find that kind of arrangement so hard to sort out in my own track productions)

At 4m with the main hook / lead from Expander, … very cool sound creation, (not bad synths joining it too). Great you went for your own sound design in the lead hook rather a direct use of the original. Quite brave I’d say. Must be hard to get the expander type effect / sound ‘right’ without using the synth he used or a stem from the original, ( I’m sure you know was an analog Oberheim Expander from the 1980’s which had a special way of creating its distinctive sound). If I can ask what you did to make it sound that way on the hook/lead?

Just my opinion & others probably disagree, but I’m not a huge fan of this kind of kick when heard in near isolation (like in the intro) but must admit this kick does sound better to me when the track is more busy, and is very suitable i know to this style of Trance.

Rest of the percussion and drums sound good throughout.

- Thanks so much for making it a free download dude. I am going to use it for a reference track for my own music production. 🙌. The arrangement / structure is sublime I feel.

Overall a really decent track / remix. The result is worth all the hard work dude 🙂.

Is it being released? I’d have put it in my 2024 Trance-fix top 10 if it had been released this year.

Very informative video. Thanks for that man! It’s really beautiful to hear those leads in isolation, I could probably listen to just that main hook on its own on repeat for ages. Great to see the synths used too and what you did with them. Layering and movement etc. Complex. 👍
