Sharing Trancefix.nl URL on social media etc.

I was planning to share the link to point people toward this site/forum, but when I drop the link into Facebook etc, instead of the Trancefix logo appearing, the image for 'track of the week' shows instead which doesn't look too great. I've tried scraping new info with the debugger for Facebook but it doesn't help at all.

On a side note...are there plans to update the Facebook page more often too as I notice there's not even a post to say the new forum is live yet?

Will have to play around with forum settings until we get it right. As far as FB is concerned, I'd have to see with other admins, as I don't have a profile anymore. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Yeah I plan on getting round to making this post, just real world stuff getting in the way last week, but will do this week for sure. In fact I was planning on messaging you on facebook for a potential plug, especially as we are running the competition of sharing classic Trance tracks. Thanks for considering us without even asking. Once we get the FB image correct that would be amazing if you could share with the site + comp with your community. In return we can look into putting a 'sponsored by' style plug ourselves in the footer (or wherever the code allows us) for Trance Classics FB

Sorry for delay in replying, was on nightshift last night so just woken up. Yeah, as mentioned it's still showing the 'Venus Of My Dreams' artwork when pasting the "TranceFix" link onto Facebook.

Tried both Safari and Chrome on Mac and also deleting cookies etc to see if anything changed but still the same.

@Hensmon, it's no trouble to share mate, I thought it'd be cool to try and get some more members and activity here for you on Trancefix. Enjoying the new look and so on, and it's definitely much easier on mobile to interact and post now. Classics galore posted whilst on nights haha.

I wondered whether "Classic Trance Discussion" could make a reappearance too? I know it was almost dead on the old forum, but I'd certainly like to see it back and would try to chip in there myself where possible.

I'm not sure how many will sign up from a share or two from us, but I'm guessing a good few will be 'stuck in the past' and maybe like an area such as this to chat too.

Just an idea of course.

Anyway, once the image is sorted will be happy to promote

Just to update on the URL issue. I've tried this again just now pasting the link into Facebook and also Twitter and it now loads up no image at all for me. I decided to try the debugger again, and this now states "this webpage contains a blocked URL".

Yeah we are trying to figure it out still, probably breaking stuff along the way haha. Very tricky to get it to pull through the correct image for some reason, no idea why it is so difficult.

Haha nah I'm glad you spotted this one, as for sure we will be plugging/sharing the site more soon and we gotta get this stuff fixed for it. Your testing is very appreciated.

We tried some stuff yesterday (as well as updating the Facebook cache), but to no avail. Do things change when you share a link to a specific thread (such as this one)?

Also, things seem alright when shared from a private account (not a page).

Worked for one of our members on his private account. It's still an issue, unfortunately, one that we weren't able to resolve. We went around it by uploading a thumbnail on Facebook, when we shared it on our page.

We've identified the issue and fixed it. We've set dark and light logos for social media. Hit us up if there's any weird behaviour.
