The content in these two are fine i guess , but they feel so damn empty and half finished to me. theres no thought into making an interesting build or progression. they just slap the beats in your face, slapping an unispired really basic melody, some typical light activa acid in the background, it never evolves into anything and just fades out. Its too simple, too basic, the drums are boring/dry/robotic/loud. it lacks strong progression/more interesting arrangement, it lacks a strong musical identity.

and the fact that theres ZERO dynamics to the tracks makes them even more robotic. I wonder if a single producer these days even knows about or has ever had even a thought about dynamic range.

I’m gonna make some gender and preference assumptions here, but, when you get sucked off do you provide similar feedback to what I see on here? I hope so, I’m simply curious. The analog being when someone puts their best foot forward but you lay shit on them anyway.

Mirage is definitely Push inspired track, which I always liked. One of the best tracks this year 9/10
Supernatural is like a b-side to me, its fine, but not outstanding 6/10

yeah he never seems happy. you ok dawg? always complaining that the drums on everything are robotic - that's just the nature of trance I'm afraid pal

Mirage is unbelievable, what a tune.

Not sure why, but I'm getting Jon O'Bir - Ways & Means vibes

Ahhh Sunda - Mirage. One of my favorites from the 'Movement' cds.

I made a classic sounding Julian Del Agranda Remix of this tune. I can't share it yet. But it's a beast! :D

Comon'. It's just the characteristics of the drumsets used in todays trance. There seem to be only a few drumsets in the whole scene.

While in the past there was a lot more variety in the styles of drumsounds used. That's what he's looking for. And I understand it.

Don't go offtopic after my cool scoop. :p

I would have to agree with the one and only D here. I'm liking Mirage (even did on Movement), but what he's listed are definitely improvement points for these tracks. For me, that always makes a difference between a track that sounds great in a set, and a track I can listen to on its own. I'm definitely looking forward to hearing Julian fulfill that potential.

News!

The “Julian Del Agranda Remix” of this one will (very likely) be released as an extra track on the Julian-El Sueño single! 😎
