TF Radio #12 - Best of 2022 Mix III - Narel

Our third and final mix in the amazing, well-known, universally acclaimed TranceFix End Of Year Trilogy is finally here! Narel is back, but this time it's time to sit back, pour a glass of wine and just enjoy the lovely Spring evening, because we are hitting you with some lovely ambient stuff.

This mix will make you feel things you didn't know existed (In a good way, we promise!) and over the course of the next two hours you will experience the intergalactic beings looking down on you and whisper in your ears "Everything will be alright - just, relax"; Well, either that or you will fall asleep because you have had a rough day at work and just want to chill with some lovely, relaxing music in the background.

Now, as you sit there, wine in hand, whispers in your ears from Gaia herself, just remember - there might be some ice-cream in your freezer, so don't hesitate to get up, grab a spoon and think about all the happy moments in your life (Or, you know, cry if you have had a VERY rough day at work); No matter what, this mix is here for you, so let's all just take a moment and say thanks to Narel, who made this happen.

Absolutely love this mix. The ambient and downtempo stuff from 2022 was some of my favourite from the year, feels like some of the lost art of trancey ambient was coming back by a few artists, plus all the interest breakbeat/oldschool stuff too. Lovely stuff. Thanks again Narel!

Fantastic stuff. I'm glad you stayed away from the "trancey ambient" stuff that sounds like emotional uplift breakdowns but for 7 minutes instead of 2 and went for the more subtle stuff, actual ambient :^) I'd heard a bunch of these tunes from this year but there were a few new ones I really dug, especially towards the end! Flow was on point too, really got into a nice flow state on the drive I was playing this on. Great work!

Like with the trance mix, this playlist wasn’t mine - the tunes were provided to me, only the order was dictated by me - along with the addition of my tune ‘Permutations’.

Agree. Ambient has been skewed to cover anything vaguely chilled. I use it in its traditional Eno incarnation. These tunes were supplied to me split into ambient, down tempo and mid tempo categories - but that would make for an overly mechanical mix title I suppose ….

I finally complete this today, thanks for putting this together Narel. Really surprised that these are all from 2022, considering some of the sounds used and general feel. Of course there were some that had a clearer modern experimental and technical touch, like that Spiritual Delusion track, but they really stood out in the same way.
