Time to fire this up again for 2022!

Like last year, we have a track shortlist, featuring all the popular and great tracks shared from within the forum. Although not extensive, will hopefully help you remember so of the ones you've forgotten. There are many I missed, but use as a reference as you please!

We had just over 150 votes last year. We'll aim to break that this year. To incentivize, everyone who votes has a chance to win lifetime free downloads to all current and future TF releases. We have around 1000 guest visits each week, so hopefully this tickles some of those lurkers to register and participate. The goal is always to have the highest quality list of track selections at the end, and reflecting the wider tastes of the scene. Play attention to the rules as some votes are worth more than others.

Once the final results are announced, @Narel will be on the mix duties (legend) to put everything together for the EoY Radio EP!

Share your thoughts below on how you felt this year was. Vote for as little or as much as you want. Happy voting!

All I know so far is best album is from You Are My Salvation or Aerium Paracosm. Close to call.
I agree. You guys are so lucky to have it as one of you first tf releases. You couldn't ask for a better start for the label. First album - instant classic.

Also perfect timing I have one week vacation from tomorrow and was about to start my end of year playlists. The first mixes I uploaded were 2018 end of year mixes at the start of 2019. So this a small tradition for me, that I always anticipate with a lot of enthusiasm.

Edit: I want to have an yearly start, I heard this song around new year and I had no doubt that this is the song of 2022 for me. Such a great vibe an the song has a special meaning for me since I reconnected a few moths ago with some friends I had a falling out.

Relationships continuously changed: some people came and went, other acquaintances exited and entered our circles, but real friendships always stood the test of time. Whether in disparate places or on different trajectories, your day ones remained — no matter how many weeks, months or years were spent apart, nothing seemed to change. You simply pick up where you left off.

Great you are doing this again. The TranceFix Activa EoY mix was incredible and I discovered so many tracks

this year Borderline will be my no1 label, and probably TF no2. If you had started at the same time, with the same release schedule it would be good competition. Gonna have 3 or 4 Borderline tracks in my vote I feel. Thanks for the spreadsheet.

Watch the date 16.12.2022, bc Mark South - Delicious will be released that day.
It's one of the biggest tracks this year (for me the spiritual successor to Carte Blanche).

Last year there were a lot of clear contenders for the top spot. This year not so much, although plenty good tracks to fill a top 50. Same for artists. Did anyone stand out? I’ll have to think hard about that one, but no one really blazed through the year.

UTE/Translucid probably the best label, especially since Forescape stopped for 70% of the year. PURE did not do it for me this year.

Yeah completely agree with this, cant think of one stand out artist. In terms of most tunes I liked from one person, maybe each producer had max 3 tracks I liked from that year, although a little more if they had an album out e,g Aerium or YAMS. Kinda sad we didnt get more original material from Enigma state, although did rate his remixes

1. Stoneface & Terminal - From The Sun (Enigma State Remix)

Won't spoil the rest of my list here.

Edit: Which isn't a full list btw. I don't have 10 'favorite' tracks from 2022 really. There are MANY old tracks that I discovered and have been 'new' for me. But they are from the past. For example Lolo - Who Are You? is the most recent finding of mine. I've never really been into Airwave so there's much from his side that I really never heard in my life.

Voted Arhetip — Reflection as my album of the year. As for the tracks, mixture of everything really with Slam Duck — Struggle for Life being a no-brainer of #1 track for me this year.

UTE/Translucid probably the best label, especially since Forescape stopped for 70% of the year. PURE did not do it for me this year.

That didn't change anything and I shamelessly voted Forescape label of the year hahaha

Although Paracosm was good, and will likely have some tracks voted on, my favorite album was Super Frogs. I just found it interesting and really like modular sonic outputs.

Curious how people here felt this year was in genral for Trance, and if you think we are seeing improvements

I submitted but will change later as I don’t know the order yet and need to review the spreadsheet in the top post again.

so far in random order:

Lange - Together
Chris Johnson - The Infinite
Damate - Reflections
Definitions - The Gate
From The Sun (Enigma State Remix)
Voices (Enigma State Remix)
Standard Form - crimson dust (spirit mix)
Aerium - Wetterlocht
Aerium - Eudomonia 47

will probably change but these were awesome

I have so many tracks I could include. Yes there is no obvious scene favorites this year but there was so much to enjoy across the number of different styles and scenes.

I liked DBs tracks with Quench remix, Legato 22 and Callakuma 22. Also don’t forget his one with William Bryne. I’ve been nailing these so much and can’t get enough of his sound, so for that reason he’s probably my top producer.

YAMS album or Paracosm for best album, but neither a strong as Activa and DBs last year. Still waiting desperately for the 00.DB album, which I have high hopes for.

The underground boys eg radiant love, UTE, Goddez just killing it, but have a lot of love for what Borderline did this year too. Difficult choice for label but excited about what I’m seeing in the darkest depths of the scene.

This is probably my no1 track of the year, in Ambient Trance style. Genuinely feels like something I might find in an oldschool 96 ambient playlist on Youtube. Gonna have quite a few ambient-trance tracks in my final list likely, was just that kind of year for me.
