Its utter bankrupcy from a artistic perspective me thinks.. But I can sort of understand the sentiment especially if you're livelihood depends on it.

I mean lets face it. Success, especially financially, is overall better served by stealing something good then risking original ideas that haven't stood the test of time.

If you predominatly have good technical skills, which he arguably has, as opposed to (original) creative tendency's well....whaddayagonna do?

But I agree fully with your text. There are more examples of artists that somehow gain support but are objectively pretty average at best. And there are enough artists who actually try to create something cool, but lack any support. It is what it is.

So the simple solution is: follow those who you like. And don't spend much time on those who you don't care about. It's all you can do.

All versions of Somewhere over the rainbow I know of (incl. the "original") are really cheesy and way over the top, I don't see what makes this one worse than the others? I mean it's not great trance by most standards, but the same goes for the other versions.
In general I think Tallas production output is too high and too samey, but I for one am glad hes still around and keeping his Techno Club series going - thats probably the nostalgia speaking
