25 Years ago, Trance music celebrated it's arguably greatest ever year. I wasn't convinced as my personal favourites were 97 and 2004. However this mix may just have changed my mind.
I've loved Armin's Year Mixes ever since he started doing them and the aim was always to go back and complete some from the past / redo a few favourites as well. I recently decided to take on 1999, no small task. After going through and making sure I got all my tracks in order and there weren't any tunes released in 2000 (Tiesto's Remix of Silence / York - On The Beach etc) or 1998 (Camisra - Let Me Show You / Paul Van Dyk - For An Angel), I tried to narrow this mix down to 100. Impossible. 150? Impossible. 200 it is. So here it is - 200 of the very best trance and progressive in a 3hr 20+minute mix.
You have NEVER heard 1999 like this before.
