Hello, new to Trancefix. I am looking for the best way to find current and upcoming Trance releases on vinyl. I only play the plastic - can anyone tell me the best way to search for this - on Trancefix or any other site ?

Hi there, welcome

On this site we don't have any way to search or with any specific thread that pinpoints the releases that have vinyl. Often those details will be shared in a release thread itself if that's the case, but you just have to keep your eye open for those details. For example I know that the recent Activa and Signum releases both included vinyl pressing simply by looking at those threads at the time. Thrillseekers I also think does some pressing too for his tracks too. It doesn't seem too common in Trance but I think the trend is increasing.

Artists who release their music on the Bandcamp platform are the most likely to include vinyl releases I think. Not many Trance artists on Bandcamp unfortunately, but a lot of underground Techno/House/Breaks stuff, which sometimes has some Trance-crossover type releases.

Some good news however is that 2 of the best tracks from the year are seeing vinyl releases - check this thread. Skip to the last few pages in the thread for longer samples. Vinyl release date TBC.

Activa and The Thrillseekers have a dedicated group over on Facebook exactly for this sort of thing called Trance Vinyl: New Releases where as you can imagine all the new/upcoming Trance releases are posted.

Rob has also very recently launched The Record Republic

The Record Republic is a vinyl shop with a twist - along with new releases, we will be commissioning rare and exclusive vinyl from some historic label catalogues as well as the freshest cuts from the here and now!

We will be giving artists and labels a platform to create and sell vinyl releases, whilst we look after the whole process from manufacture to delivery. All this with the potential of little to no upfront costs.

You also have one or two sites such as decks.de. I think Techno makes up most of the releases there but they do sell and stock upcoming new Trance vinyl too.

and finally as mentioned already, following artists/labels you enjoy on Bandcamp
