Now a chatroom would off course be a big thing to add to the forum. But it could be a great way to interact with each other and many other possibilities.
It really depends on the vision of the forum management. @Hensmon @Gagi @ other admin (that I don’t realise are admin). What are your dreams for the forum, for Trance music and for the label TF-R ? I don’t know any place that has a chatroom apart from the various discord channels which are DJ/producer specific. Ie I actually (i dont know why) am on Armin Van Buurens discord chat. Its sickening to see how Armin has become this Pop Idol type. (Anyway thats a different matter)
It could be a great way to attract more industry folk to trancefix and express thoughts as we have them in conversation. It could help ‘real’ trance bloom again and create all sorts of creative interactions, live by doing projects in a chat room making trance there and then by posting update files of a track there … off course experimenting and just for fun but could be interesting and lead to a fully fledged decent trance track with lots off collaborators and input / live feedback.
Now, £€$¥ might be needed for the chatroom to exist as it may be necessary to heavily moderate with dedicated admin. But a small amount per month for members to pay who want to use it. And perhaps it would just be open at set times, and we could have subjects set for discussion. Overall a stringent set of rules regarding mutual respect for participants would be necessary. But off the lot here currently, none of us are dicks, yeah? We are all pretty intelligent and ‘know’ how to behave. For that reason an option is it could be self moderated to a large extent.
I know there are big difficulties associated with what im talking about, but just wanted to put it out there. Its just an idea.
