One of the best producers of 2023 is here, ladies and gentlemen. Ricky Smith, aka. The Digital Blonde brings us the first of 2 TranceFix End of Year Mixes, showcasing some of the most gorgeous uplifting tracks from 2023, as voted by you, dear users of TranceFix.

He has put together a behemoth of a mix, running just North of 2 hours, filled with amazing tracks from the likes of Activa, Narel, Sneijder, CapeTown, Enigma State, Synthazia and many others. This Mix starts pumping and never slows down, so put on those dance pants of yours and get your head moving because TDB just made your evening so much better.

Many thanks to Ricky, who have had an amazing year himself with tracks from his new project Synthazia alongside Synthony just a couple of weeks ago and so many others.

Each track has been given a more or less subtle retouch.
For sure it does surprise and possibly slightly piss off some producers haha.
It does contribute to make the mix unique though,
as a listener I appreciate it.

A really nice mix I just jammed out to a plane flight. Really enjoyed the first 45ish and last thirty especially. The middle dragged a bit just b/c of my own track preferences and relatively long cuts of tracks, though I imagine others will love the content, especially with the care that went in to the mix. Lots of Digital Blonde sprinkles throughout , though in many cases I can’t really tell b/c I don’t know the tracks well. Thanks to Ricky for making this unique EOY mix!

I really like every minute. Actually the middle was the highlight for me and I loved the blonde touches to the tracks. @Narel I was really enjoying his touch to Tensile, so I find it interesting you didn't like that. Understandable as it is your child. Tensile is fantastic I should say. When this track came up I forgot that name, but it really had me smiling.

I’m gonna give it another listen with an open mind, as the first time was WTF is this?! I was having a sh1t day too so thats not the best.
Also (and this shows my state of mind that day), thought it was only my tune that had been edited as I don’t know the others on the mix. So I was relieved when @Electronlyman posted that info.
Why relieved?? A db track ‘Antheum’ was on the first house/trance mix album I bought in 1996, it remains one of my favs and I like a lot of his late 90’s/2000’s stuff and newer stuff. So the thought that Ricky needed to edit just ‘Tensile’ was horrifying LOL.
Remember in my interview I said about big self doubt?? There it is right there.

That was a phenomenal mix, I finished it a few days ago but forget to share my appreciation. The only track missing for me was Avalon's Enaebba but other than that it captures the state of Trance outside of the underground perfectly.

Transolar really surprised me of how much I liked it in the end, despite its relatively cheesy nature.

Indian Summer into Ion Tail was excellent.

So finally started my full listens of the year mixes starting with this one. Was a pretty good overall experience and it flowed well, even though a good chunk of the tracks are not my cup at all. TDB touches to the tracks were pretty sweet.
Was very surprised to see the Filterheadz track (which is straightforward Tribal Techno) along Uplifters

But overall was a good listen!
