Moster of a mix, can't wait to give it a spin. My favourite part of the scene and yet I know no more than 30% of the tracks here. It's a cardinal sin since the tracks I absolutely loved from last year are not included, but if these are better then I'm all for it.

Full disclosure, the list I worked from was a few days before the EOY results were final, and was longer that the published list as well. My recollection though was getting 7 of the top 10, and about 40-50% hit rate of the top 30 after that. It’s quite a complex puzzle to solve given the underground sound is so diverse, across many tempos (123-155 in the list) and keys. There was one sound in particular which didn’t make it for a few of those reasons (tracks like Dolphin Skii, the Tustna remix) - that light airy almost hypnotech sound. I’m planning another mix I’ll share on here somewhere to include some of the missed gems like those, where that sound can be explored properly. At any rate, as I told Hensmon, sometimes you need to ‘kill your darlings’ for the sake of the mix. A sad but important reality when painting with such a large set of colors. Hope y’all enjoy!

Such a good mix mate. Really love it and shared it with loafs of my non-trance friends and they rated it too. Discovered some new gems I missed form the year as well. Definitely gonna have to get you to do another episode in the future.
