TranceFix Radio #13 - Fiesta de Trance - Mixed by Julian Del Agranda

Speak his name. Say it. Softly first, then louder, more raw, shout it, scream it, let the world know about him. JULIAN - "Julian who?" - JULIAN DEL AGRANDA, MY GOOD SIR, because he is back! Back with another absolute banger of a mix - a mix worthy of an old school Oscar because that's exactly what we're getting here; A true old school trip from start to finish.

But, you might be wondering in that beautiful head of yours, haven't we heard all old school tracks before? Haven't we experienced it all before!? HOW ABOUT SOMETHING NEW!? - you might be shouting. But to all of this, I just say; Calm down, count to 10, relax, remove your hands from the keyboard and just look. Look at the tracklist and rejoice, because we and Julian promises you; There are tracks in here you haven't heard before! (Well, alright, we kinda promises, but you get the idea).

Look, I'm tired, it's late here, I really can't keep on doing this. Just, in the good words of Marc Rebillet, "GO FUCKING NUTS" as you move those gorgeous hips of yours across the dancing floor, find a couple of plates and pretend to be scratching (It's okay, we all do that) while you in the distance hear the lovely words "Julian..... Del..... Agrandaaaaaaa"

Oh, and there's a new single as well! Check it out my beloved brethren!

T-Spoon - No Time To Waste is a 90’s eurodance classic.

This Dutch group had one big hit (across the borders) that reached #2 in the UK charts. “Sex on the Beach”.

Anyway, always liked this 2003 version that is not on YouTube, Spotify or download stores. I used my vinyl record for it. So it’s kind of exclusive 😉

It was a fun golden years mix.

Always enjoy the episodes you release, thanks.

Good listen as always. I spend so much time listening to darker and proggy tracks today that it was refreshing change. Your personal tracks hold up against most of these too.

Nice mix, really enjoyed it! You almost can't go wrong with a tracklist like that. Personally, I like the quicker transitions in the second part of the mix. Lately I have been mixing from my older collection from around the same era for myself and most tracks are quite long. Basically (I know I'm exaggerating a bit) those extended versions are twice the same track, only with a shorter build-up/break-down in the second part of the track. To keep the pace going when you are at a higher BPM, I like to do the transition after the first break (or start the track only after the first break). I wonder what we did during the great gigs from like 20 years ago after that first breakdown in a track, get a beer, take a piss, discuss world politics?

Some new tracks for me as well, really liked Sureno - Guideline (Syntone Remix). But props for your own track El Sueno. Fits in perfectly with these other tracks. And it wouldn't have been a misfit on one of the Magik editions from back in the days 😉

Really like that Sureno track, never heard it before but part of the melody does remind me of LNQ's People I UsedTo Know.
The original mix is great too, always love a good breaks track.

Nice track, the LNQ one, I didn’t know that one (I never really took the time for the old isos cd’s, shame on me).

I don’t see too much resemblance with Sureno - Guideline though.

It's in a part of the strings melody or what's it called. When i heard Guideline my brain immediately recognized it as heard before, i first thought it was an original Mike Foyle track but after browsing my collection it came to me (Mike Foyle did remix People I Used To Know though). It's more obvious in the original mix. How can you not hear it? 🧐
