dreamy & trancey
A first full release by Ulf & Ralf, following on from a series of remix projects appearing on previous Verdant & Vertex releases.

For those with lingering doubts or curiosity, Ulf & Ralf, is certainly a work in progress but contrived from the disparate musical minds of Andy Green & Joe Sowrey. We use real synths, soft synths, whatever stumbled across, and include elements recorded in real time whenever we can. Its about the adventure, happy accidents & learning from each other's divergent experiences of electronic music.

Kites was originally created 5 or more years ago; our first attempt at writing a track together, then left rather unloved. For this EP we returned to that original project just a few weeks ago, were reminded of its innocent charms and set about creating three contrasting versions around its original palette. These are propped up by a further interpretation by Verdant acolyte and all round top boy Mihail P.

Enjoy the listen and download, naming your price if you wish to support further Verdant aural explorations.

Made and shared with love,
Andy & Joe

Pretty boring actually. Dont like the drums ( very repetitv loopy)with that ugly slappy clap and the pads are just the usual dreamy wishwashy stuff. Dont really get the overly excited comments above either haha. The martinou track referred to was better although alot of guys in here gets a boner way too eeasily from just hearing a bit of atmoshperiQ pads with a simple beat.

The other parts BTW that wasnt posted here was also alot better more musically and sonically interesting than the "soaring part".

yes, this is their debut release

the 'dreamy wishwash' and the 'simple beat' is the current sound aestetic of 'Ambient Techno'/'Ambient House', and not only current... guys like 'Yagya' making these sounds nearly 20 years, but in the last years it gets some more attention, hate it or love it

since 2016 we have 'Techno' mutated with 'Trance', since 2019 we have trancey elements in 'House' music and it looks like since 2023 there is a 'Trance' wave in the 'Ambient Techno'/'Ambient House' scene:

Hame - Tell Me Where [Noire & Blanche] 2024

Boaksi - What's It Worth? [Small Steps] 2024

Not as good as Martinou - Expanding but I understand the comparison. Nice share.
