We'd end up releasing 1 track per year, if we are lucky haha

Alright. Get a DAW, some plugins (or even the original gear) and produce the stuff you want. Easy as that.i want someone to recreate old Oliver Lieb, Incolumis, Humate, James Holden & so on.

... no matter if positive or negative. I would like to tell at the point again a little something about my productions. I already thought that my production style is a bit more controversial, but I'm glad that a big part of the community likes the productions. The idea behind my project has always been to highlight the more primitive side of the 90s trance era (which definitely existed). Originally I titled my trance project "primitive trance and hard trance". All my productions could have been produced in the 90s with the right equipment. Producing trance is just fun! I'm not trying to be the next big trance artist here, I just got fed up with generic techno and hardstyle (the areas I actually come from).
@Daysleeper titled "The Lost Horizon" as "midi-ish". Might be because it was produced with MIDI. I have deliberately avoided "newfangled production methods" to replicate the limited possibilities of e.g. Cubase 2.0. The piano sounds cheap and crappy because it is cheap and crappy. By today's standards, a Korg M1 is definitely no longer state of the art, but that's what it's all about: implementing a production with the means that were available in the past. I'm doing my best as a 23 year old to somehow replicate the essence of the past which is not really easy. The music is from a time when I wasn't even born, it's crazy to think about it. Until recently i didn't have much to do with trance, but slowly but surely i'm getting more and more into it. all productions are in some way a tribute (one could even say a copy) of an existing work to understand it better. With every production you learn more and more, so it can only get better.
My next release (sometime this summer) might be a little more appealing to some. For this production i tried to get a bit more of the belgian sound that you know from bonzai. I will announce the realease in the forum as soon as it is ready. Maybe then one or the other will like it more (which I hope very much!).
I thank you again for the criticism, which will definitely flow into future productions! I also thank the TranceFix team that they offer me a platform here, that definitely helps in the future development of my music.
I wish you all a nice weekend, even if we have only Thursday, and thank you to those who have bought my music and thus support both me and TranceFix. Your money will probably be metabolized into beer!
Greetings to all from Germany,
Jonas

Approximate construction of the instruments needed for "God of Dreams" in the past, nowadays completely realizable on a computer. Modern technology and advanced DAWs are almost in the way.
Haha yep, totally awesome! Sadly I can only emulate the stuff on my mac.A fairly close representation of my studio as it is now
EXACTLY what I thought also with regards to the Trancemaster CD’s. And not a criticism.Sounds like the style youd find on a 1997 Trancemaster CD - quite enjoyed some of the throwback sample like that BBE clap. Some of the high main synths sound a bit messy when the peak of the track is playing - but id rather listen to this than most modern Trance hehe. Not bad if you were aiming to replicate that mid 90's sound.
It’s strange. As with Enigma state’s ethos & yours. ( though both different ethos) I realised the project intentions after about 1 minute of listening. That it is aiming to restrict things such as lavish fx etc and stick to raw ( slightly more) bread and butter sounds. I have to say that, yes. It sounds quite dry, but if I (do) understand correctly. That is the intention.Thank you for all of your feedback, ...

Thank you for your feedback. The "bell chime type sound" comes from a Korg M1 (this can be emulated by getting the offical VST from korg). The M1 is just great for classic trance type of stuff. It’s strange. As with Enigma state’s ethos & yours. ( though both different ethos) I realised the project intentions after about 1 minute of listening. (Ie part of what you mean by primitive sound/ethos). As a producer myself, doing what you’ve done here to recreate a 90s Trance feel ( but all on software) is I think very impressive. Its all to easy to add lots of reverbs and delay to bring a particular sound in a more atmospheric direction. But to keep it dry (ish) and sounding good and raw I reckon takes a lot of skill. I find it interesting how both you and @Magnevi / Jullian Agrando used a similar bell type chime type sound. I usually cover these in lots of fx, but raw ish in this case actually completes the feel for the track.
Cool tracks! (Sorry im so late to the party. ( someone told me it’s cool to turn up late to a party but i do it without meaning too )
Nice one .
Nice one .
Have a beer on me and others on here dude! Can’t wait till your next release.
To make it easy, here is the release:God im a bit of a clutz! I can’t seem to see the section where it can be purchased on bandcamp! Is it still available to buy ? I had no problem with other tfr purchases . Perhaps i will buy those glasses after-all

Sorted it earlier. Im really clever. I think the problem might be i ‘ think’ have a different account on bandcamp depending on whether im on the browser or app. I didn’t think i had a creator/producer account ( and probably actually don’t) perhaps 2 buyer accounts. Or. Who knows what. Im glad i make music, not websites. If bandcamp was like a DAW I’d be pretty good on it ( unless it had MIDI send/receive configurations like Presonus Studio 1 (the DAW i use)To make it easy, here is the release:
