Why does he look so mafia in the video? It's OK to be a happy guy.

As for the track, it's deffo not the worst remix of Carte Blanche. It's still that track essentially, and it didn't lose too much power, eventhough it's slower. Not overly loud synth/bass (as far as we can judge on this low quality video).

Not too bad. Good for slower/early sets.

At least it's not a 138 steroid butchering. Sounds pretty alright, but it just hasn't got any energy, the beats don't really fit the melody.

And yes, he hasn't added anything creatively, just some beats. So a minus from me.

Yeah it's still just a 5/10 tune. Maybe even just 4/10.

But that's higher than the average remix we see on a big classic. So that's why I'd say it's "not too bad". For example that David Gravell remix of this tune was absolute garbage.

Yeah but it's very relativistic to say that. "It's better than 95% out there" and so on. It's still not good or, in my opinion, worth remembering at all. It's not repulsive, but it's not creative either. It's still lazy, just differently so.

He can say that he wanted to keep the vibe of the original, well, why not have the original then? (Well, I know why: Wanting to stay relevant.)

I can live with remixes of classics, but why do they have to be so obviously uninspired?

Well, I must say that this is pretty good...the melody is too overplayed for me, but I must admit this remix is well done ;)

Why even bother to release this? Brings nothing new to the table. The original is 1000 times better.

Just me who isnt crazy about the original?
I used to be.

But its one of the very few big classics that are less ‘holy’ for me now in 2021. Maybe it didnt age too well. The bubbly bass, the weak clap. Perhaps heard those few piano notes so many times that it got a bit fluffy....

There arent any remixes though that can replace it yet. I like the Cosmic Gate Remix, and Ronald van Gelderen.

I said Carte Blanche didn't age well back in the times of the old forum and y'all were like WTF. :p
I agree, though, in that the remixes of the original have not been able to surpass it. Even if they sound more modern and are faithful to the original, the feeling just isn't there.

Hahah, felt the same way. Dude looked constipated most of the video.
Not too much to say about the track. As far as a Remix of Oldschool Trance it's servicable but not that exciting. Honestly why Remix classics at all?

If you produce music that results in early set times... yet you want to play a recognizable classic... it can be handy to have an alternative version.

Ilan Bluestone probably opens a lot, or early. So I find it pretty logical.

Just see it as a cover band doing a famous song in their set.

Sorry to sound like a snob, but I'm not even going to listen to this. What's the point in remixing this:
