Pretty direct question, what does your avatar mean? Are you trying to tell something or is it just some meaningless photo?

Mine is pretty self explanatory, I like salt, I'll bet this fellow licking likes salt too. Get it where you can.

Mine is a shot surfing some decent swell in Tiree, Scotland, representing a good life quote:

“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf”

It just might be the earliest physical proof of Serbian statehood. It is the seal of Prince (Archon) Strojimir, and it seems to be dated at 9th century. The inscription says "God Help Stojimir".

BTW, my username is not linked to him, I just love history and archaisms.

I've spent a few months of 2020 playing Mario Kart 7's time trials mode, sometimes taking pictures of my records to share with the MK7 community on Discord. Below is my first 1:54 on Airship Fortress, which I set on June 23rd, 2020:

I quit the game that same year and this still is my best record, driven with the help of an around top 30 ranked time (my time was 63rd out of ~700 community recorded times when I set it). I thought that the player character appearing twice in the photo with one of them a bit faded looked pretty cool / cinematic / funny, so I started using it as an avatar on various platforms.

It's me with headphones on, about 12 years ago...
Took that pic as I was sitting in a small bus, coming back home from the location, where my grandpa had his summer house.

Worked that photo in GIMP, with the intention to use it for my music promotion social media channels. It's still in use on all those channels. 😂

I've always loved the old Japanese artwork, especially the woodblock stuff. I've never been to Japan but It is probably the highest on my list, and I think in 2027 I will spend an entire month there when work gives me a free month of holiday for being there 5 years.

This one isn't actually that old (1935). It's called the View of an Azalea Garden and Mt Fuji, by Kawase Hasui. Just love how peaceful/beautiful the scene is. The balance of colors, and the composition, also so good.

Ha! I really want to share mine. It's my PT10 Vinyl with "to Steven, thanks for everything" signature by Solarstone. Steven is my English name and it was signed at Rich's hotel room when we held the Pure Trance China Launch Extravaganza Party in Shenzhen China on May 4th this year.

I am the editor and one of the founding members of PURE TRANCE CHINA organization, aiming at helping the promotion of trance music in China, hosing trance parties and discovering the Chinese trance talents.

I think we did pretty well on the first year, as we have created a trance group chat with 350+ people together with an account with 500+ follows, held a party invited Solarstone and had 4 releases on Pure Trance labels by Chinese producers:
  • Ishiro - Serene [6.21 on Pure Trance]
  • Ishiro - Serene (LESSISLESS Remix) [9.20 on Pure Breaks]
  • ALIGASH - Half a Dream [10.11 on Pure Trance NEON]
  • Ishiro - Serene (Miratrix Remix) [11.13 on Pure Progressive]
Thrill that some of those are mentioned in the Best Of 2024 votes (besides the vote of Serene Miratrix Remix by myself). There will be more releases next year, hope they can get the loves from here.

Dr Manhatten, character from the comic and movie Watchmen. Why you ask? Well I spent the majority of my residency as a doctor in Manhatten, so friends would call me this. I gladly took the nickname, as this guy is a badass.
