A month and a half of using the camera - most were just me getting familiar with it on walks with a dog.
Recently, however, I brought it along on a hiking holiday. Was taking some half-decent shots, actually. But due to weather, because my lens isn't weather-sealed, I had to take it on/off constantly to pack the lens and body.
The result? A fingerprint on my sensor, and dust on and inside the lens.
So, to remedy that, I will now double the initial investment to get a weather-sealed lens, and a sensor/lens cleaning kit. I also don't think I'll be taking off the lens anymore, probably not even for storage.
I sent it to the repairman for cleaning, but I'm not overly satisfied. Oh, and I also got some hot pixels as well...
Just an overall fantastic experience with the camera.
And while I prefer the process of shooting with a camera (and potential in the photos), I'd still say a (good) smartphone is all you need, especially for convenience. Point, shoot, share, done.
