Off to get my first prescription glasses. God I feel really old now...

But on the plus side my full otaku nerdiness will shine brighter now 😁

My new shiny lens is comfortably resting in my camera bag. Haven't had a chance to take it out for a walk yet - can't wait for the next trip!

Also, I've spent more time recently watching fucking camera gear videos, than actually getting to grips with composing and editing...

Those are pretty much easy to pass, IQ test would be more helpful.

Maybe people should only be allowed to vote after a successful EI test. (Emotional intelligence)
I think neither is desirable or effective. Setting the bar for IQ is going to lead to an technocracy of people who’re going to be detached from the rest of the Demos and seen the complaints I’ve seen about musk here,(who’s very intelligent) that’s clearly not desirable,

and a focus on EI is only going lead to a body politi who can’t make pragmatic hard choices because their feelings will get in the way.

If you must have a bar for who gets to vote then develop some sort of test for Civic Virtue.

Aerial view of Los Angeles fires man it must be pocket change for some of these actors but this is quite terrible.

a lot of them are too stingy to pay for adequate home insurance (or home insurance at all!), so their losses are surprisingly high. I'm always amazed at how little rich people / people with money spend on insurance for their belongings

I thought the whole insurance companies left because they couldn't afford the insurance. They have flood insurance but don't have any insurance for fire.

The fires are still ongoing sadly.

Tidying up my soundcloud. It was previously full of WIPS.

I designed a new Bobby Summa logo (will probably change my trancefix profile pic to this too). Also added a playlist of official releases. Both trance & ambient.

Hows the page looking chaps?
I think the design brings a new feel / energy to my profile and social media image. More direct upfront (energy charged) and specific than before

Yes, insurance companies like State Farm pulled out of California because they kept taking losses. It was a failure by the state - the state limited the companies by how much they could raise prices, so everyone just left after the losses started accumulating.

It's still on the homeowner to figure out how to protect their property. If you're at a point where insurance companies (who are basically math nerds with all the statistics in the world) leave because they can't make profits, probably best to sell that huge mansion and get a smaller house just in case shit hits the fan

Insurance companies are all con artists who swindle people for money for possible unforeseeable events. I know a lot of people have left California this might force others to do the same as well.

My car insurance has definitely paid out more than I've paid - if it weren't for them, I wouldn't have been able to get my car repaired, ha. But yes, many people spend years paying with no claims and wonder why they're even paying for anything at all.

How much premium do you have to pay over there? Over here it's like $3000 for the premium.
