Applied for a job yesterday. From some details I got, it sounds incredible on most counts (and even on the most important one). Hoping I get through the interview process, but know it's gonna be tough.
Yep, I'm just waiting for the software update. It affects pretty much everyone.@dmgtz96 Attention calling him. Is your car one of the cars that are affected?

A lot of people have it worse than you. Some of us don't even get presents at all.Today we had a little Christmas party at the office. We also took part in the Secret Santa tradition, and had the real Santa as well.
In any case, here's what I got for being a good boy the entire year:
1. From the real Santa, I got nothing. When we signed to work, one of the benefits listed were half your average monthly pay at the end of the year, as a bonus, but this year the company had a presumably bad fiscal year.
But what's even worse than getting 0 bucks, is that no one communicated anything with us. Lots of people count on that money to cover some costs at least. The CEO and CTO (owners) were very near and could hear the discussion about this, but chose to not say anything. That's what bothers me the most. A notice, a month in advance, was all that was necessary, with a reasonable expectation. And everyone would've accepted that, myself included.
2. From my Secret Santa, I also got jack shit. So either there was a mistake in the software that left me without my Secret Santa, or a colleague forgot or couldn't be bothered. In any case, even though it's stupid, you have to feel kinda crappy. I certainly took aside some time and money to do that for another colleague.
Fully aware that I'm making it sound like I'm spoiled in IT by the way.
Jesus, 300 eur car registration is expensive. In my state, one year of registration is $35 (32 eur) for gas vehicles and $150 (137 eur) for electric vehiclesWell, to top the absolutely amazing and faultless weekend off, besides having to splash out 300 EUR plus for my car registration, my car battery died. Right now the battery is the main culprit, but I sense there are some electronic gremlins hiding in my car as well, which will bring the total amount of costs to at least 500 EUR, which is more or less what I would've gotten as a bonus. Lovely!
Well, that includes the testing, as well as insurance and all applicable taxes. Do your prices also include that or?Jesus, 300 eur car registration is expensive. In my state, one year of registration is $35 (32 eur) for gas vehicles and $150 (137 eur) for electric vehicles

Nope, that is interesting your insurance is bundled with registration. Over here I'm paying about $105-130/month (96-119 euro), which is cheap compared to some other quotes I've gotten for $250+/month (229 euro/month)Well, that includes the testing, as well as insurance and all applicable taxes. This doesn't include the roadworthy certificate we have to get plus paying for the license registration and 3 yearly renewal for the license as well. On top of that land tax and council rates as well for houses.
How much should I pay for a roadworthy? — Vehicle Inspections Australia
VicRoads does not set the price for the roadworthy inspection, this is done by the licensed tester. Prices for inspections therefore range from under $50 to over $400! So why is there such a difference in price? How can we tell what we should be paying?www.vehicleinspectionsaustralia.com.au
Queensland has the highest amount here. It's over $1000Those are some crazy registration fees
