Lord of the Rings made with Peter Jackson and Stephen Colbert has been cancelled.

Creggers’ Resident Evil looks absolutely fantastic!

Resident Evil 2026 version shit movie I walked out when there was a scene of people jumping off buildings (gave me ptsd of watching the 9/11 all over again so I stopped watching) too gory, realistic and I didn't like being jumped scared.

Resident Evil (2026)
Best RE movie adaptation by far. Faithful to the original horror atmosphere. The only downside is the unnaturaly stupid characters.

Yeah, liked it a lot. The intro was sublime. Ending was a bit stupid though. Great movie.

Watched a few recently....

Obsession - I think it does live up to some of the hype. Really unsettling, original and fucked up. You think about it a lot after, and the main actress is really good. The lighting and music are worth celebrating. However many of the scenes are forced and unnatural. Characters and plots do stupid or obvious things to allow the drama to happen, but It's not too egregious. 81/100

Backrooms - Cool to learn how this came to life, and that its a 20yr old director. It's a cool liminal spaces concept, with creative set design alongside atmos, music and creepiness that works well together. It's interesting but the characters and plot is underdeveloped. You can feel the youtube origins and inexperience coming through, but I'd watch Backrooms 2 (which is in dev). 73/100

Attack The Block - Low budget British comedy-horror from 2011. Sort of Sean of the Dead type humor, and very South London focused, so probably funnier for people familiar with those sort of council estate settings and characters. It did have me chuckling, and the action is decent. Not scared to kill off characters. Solid easy watch, with pinch of cult classic dna to it. 70/100

Looks like it's still going ahead.

Fiancee loved it! For me it was alright, good for what it is but wouldn't watch again. Wouldn't rate it as highly, although you can't fault it much either.

4L (4 Latas) [2019]
Love these kinds of movies with long journey and lots of scenery. TIL they’re called road movies.

Apocalypse Z: New World [2026]
The first movie was better. This one falls flat halfway through the end. Still enjoyable for me, though.
