OUT Robert Nickson - Rocket Surgery [FSOE]

Hmm, sounds like a follow up to Heliopause! Need a cleaner sample, it feels like this is a live rip from A&F's Lumi set and not directly from the mixer, but I love the dark melody. I assume it's a solo track, there's no M.I.K.E. influences anywhere to be heard

OUT Sonic Element - Gone Again [Borderline]

Let's add Bostock and Apogee while we're at it, full house choo choo!

Paul Van Dyk & Christian Burns - But Not Tonight [VANDIT] [2022]

Opening track from VONYC 819, out in a few days. This is his cover of Depeche Mode - But Not Tonight The version played on VONYC seems to be from a live stream, you can hear the crowd in some instances

OUT Cold Blue & Audrey Gallagher - Broken Things [FSOE]

That entire set is full of spicy new Cold Blue material - the collab with Audrey is not that much to my liking, her voice is in the love it or hate it category. Had a blast enjoying his set live though, despite the lackluster sound on the Bernies stage

    Activa - ID

There are two IDs according to Activa, although I also struggle to figure out where's the cue point for the mixing. The breaks mix in so smoothly into the trance beat that it's hard to understand if it's the same song or not I'm also dying to find out the last two IDs in the set: 2nd to last...

    Activa - ID

Opening track from his Lumi set, in which he also premiered a lot of new Borderline records @Uplifted

OUT Peter Steele feat. Theia Vee - Sanctified [Pure Trance Recordings]

Fully agree, that's not Rene at all on the vocals. Instrumental has some cool sounding elements, although that synth in the climax also reminds me of Liam Wilson

OUT Sonic Element - Gone Again [Borderline]

If someone told me 8 months ago that Sonic Element, Mac & Monday, and Borderline would not only come back from the dead, but they would be reunited, I would have said "thanks for the laughs, you got me there". Borderline is on fire since the relaunch. This single has a few elements that remind...

OUT Stoneface & Terminal - Moonraver [FSOE]

Didn't know you were from DE! :) As for the track, S&T are among the few artists that continue to deliver on most of their productions even though they put out 20+ tracks a year easily. I would need a longer preview to decide on it, the melody is not bad but they've done much better...

Dual Mount - Magma (AA Meeting Rework)

Proper old school feel to the rework, you can easily imagine this in a PVD set at Amnesia
  11. S

OUT Robert Nickson feat. Ryan Leslie - Stratocast [Surgikal]

Love the guitar melody, will have to check the full track once it's out. From memory, Robert does his own guitar recordings, which is rather nice if you ask me

OUT Sam Jones - Incoming [Outburst Records]

100% Sam Jones exclusive, played during his Lumi set as as 3rd track (along side at least 8 other new IDs/remixes). Crazy party track, and technically it's insane how well he incorporates all the samples. Not sure it makes for great home listening though.

OUT Andrea Ribeca - Panorama [Azura Ink]

To be fair, I would not have guessed this is a Ribeca track, his patented Nu NRG melody sound is nowhere to be found in this one

OUT Scot Project pres. Scotech - Make The Bass [Fe-Chrome]

Pretty standard cookie cutter techno track, the only thing that makes this even remotely close to a Scot P track is some of the acids and use of samples
  15. S

OUT Sonic Element - Forgotten / Lost Past [Research & Development]

Great liquid sounding breaks! Will need to check out the full mixes, but I'm loving what I'm hearing

    Cascade - Transcend [1997]

PVD played the Moonman remix at Lumi, it still sounded amazing!
  17. S

OUT AA Meeting - Summit [VII]

Askew sound is also heavily based on the PVD template, especially during his Discover years. I'd say now he's heavier on the acids and he uses a new kick which he introduced with the Smack and Communication remixes 11 years or so, but the rest is still leaning a lot on peak VANDIT. Don't get me...

    Selu Vibra - ID

So gutted my name sake couldn't play at this Lumi  I'm sure he would have played some new material, he's been back in the studio for some time now. As for the track, the melody is indeed very Selu Vibra, but the kick doesn't go with the rest of the track imo. I second the Gouryella remark...

OUT AA Meeting - Summit [VII]

Ridiculous set from the boys, top 3 of the entire festival for me. The new AA singles were all jam packed with energy, you can see that they were inspired by that early VANDIT sound from PVD and Nu-NRG

OUT Benjani vs. Mac & Monday - Sanctum (Mac & Monday Story Continues Remix) [Borderline]

LOL, we got a pitch-up in Adhafera, and here we get a pitch-down, I'm expecting everybody will moan about that single element ruining the entire track :P. While I loved the original, I always felt it could do with a bit more energy and a bigger climax. This version addresses that really damn...
