Paul van Dyk & Troels Hammer - Alternative Sphere [Vandit]

This sounds a lot more like old PVD than 90% of the stuff on the last three albums (except his solo tracks and the MORPH and Bekker collabs). You get the high hats, the triple kick is well placed, the little acids that remind me of OTAB. The melody is not something that would make you think of...

Astral Projection - Into The Void [Sacred Technology]

Well, that 2007 album actually got cancelled, the group disbanded somewhat, and they returned around 2014 or so and started working on the Goa Classics remix album. That came out in 2017 and since then we constantly had rumours of a new artist album ... 5 years on and the story repeats itself...

OUT The Digital Blonde & William Byrne - Last Time [Pure Trance NEON]

Overall I quite like the track, and those old school Jean-Michel Jarre Oxygene inspired sounds are cool, but that high pitch pad/synth at 7:45 absolutely ruins the entire vibe for me. It comes out of nowhere and sonically it absolutely clashes with everything else. What where they thinking?!

Astral Projection - For All Mankind [Iboga Records]

Might as well bump this thread, anybody got any updates on the album?

OUT Stoneface & Terminal - Berlin '97 (Get On Me) [FSOE Clandestine]

Teaser doesn't give too much away but I love those warm, lush pads!

Activa & Slipstream - Cassini [Pure Trance]

Gotta love that old Fluoro sound, straight out of Oakie's BBC Radio 1 mixes! We all know by now that Activa's sound is very clinical and clean, so you either are going to love his approach or not. I'm in the "gimme more of this" camp for a long time.

OUT Simon O'Shine & Fe Malefiz - Can't See Clearly [Audioresearch]

Well, at DS he was the opening DJ, and knowing Simon he did not care one bit about having only 1000-1500 people there for the first slot. He was having fun, and so were we! As for the track, there's a lush, warm feeling to the groove which really hits home for me. The clap is very techno...

OUT Key4050 - Cisza (A Dreamstate Anthem) [Dreamstate Records]

Key4050 was a blast in an otherwise confusing DS. I appreciate the local booking (Simon + Nifra), but Blastoyz was absolutely horrible and the scheduling was utter madness. The night had zero flow. At least Atkinson closed with a bang, the mad lad knows how to make people dance at 6 in the...

OUT The Conductor & The Cowboy with STOBY & G Coulter feat. Aero - Sirens (incl. Enigma State Remix) [Premier League Recordings]

My dad was a huge fan of Jean-Michel Jarre, so of course I became fascinated by his sounds when I was 5. I then quickly went through synth pop (Depeche Mode & Pep Shop Boys but also Modern Talking and the like), euro-house (2 Unlimited were a blast!), house (Gigi) before I stumbled onto Oakie...

OUT Sneijder & Thomas Bronzwaer - Into The Light [Who's Afraid Of 138?!]

That high pitch and build up in the first part of the track is 100% Sneijder signature sound. The kick is too loud because I guess the sound comes from the stadium feed so it has a loud room effect on it. Need a cleaner sample to judge the low end. Main lead is Bronzwaer through and through...

OUT Alex M.O.R.P.H. & Diago - Age Of Infinity [Morphland]

Pleasently surprised by this, came in with a lot of steroid infused trance expectations and found a rather nice gem. Still think Blue Bird is the best "M.O.R.P.H." track in years though.

OUT The Conductor & The Cowboy with STOBY & G Coulter feat. Aero - Sirens (incl. Enigma State Remix) [Premier League Recordings]

The ES remix is the big winner here! That kick drum has a heavy undertone of Alphazone in it, and love the percussion elements (nice use of the clap to give an off-beat rhythm), and what about that high hat! Overall, the remix gives me the feeling this is a follow-up to Feeling This Way, which...

OUT Dark Matter - Dragons Tear (Thomas Datt's Third Eye Activation Remix) [Landscapes Music]

Got my copy!! Couldn't be happier to support Thomas and the label <3

OUT Mac & Monday - Adhafera [Borderline Music]

I quite enjoy the somewhat random and psychotic melody, and while I love the bassline, it needs more punch in the climax no doubt!

OUT Simon Bostock - Reflect [Borderline Music]

Nice to see Bostock back on Borderline, even if it's a previously unreleased track. Hopefully this is a sign of new material as well

OUT Will Atkinson - Stimulation [VII]

Damn, that intro lead has Tiesto written all over it! I see he even used the "Bullet In The Gun" vocal sample there. Overall, quite an industrial lead and percussion, but with more oompf on the mids to make it sounds like a fun party track. Not at the same level as Rush, but still enjoyable...

Aly & Fila X Chapter 47 X Richard Bedford - Edge Of Tomorrow [FSOE]

Rather surprising collab and I would say unexpected kick drum. Overall, it's a safe, simple, clean track but that's been A&F for almost 20 years. I do like the vocal chops and how they managed to turn Richard into somewhat of an oriental singer to give that Oriental vibe that Ahmed Romel...

    OUT Jardin - Rufus [Avanti]

Quite a warm summery prog tune, did not expect this from Jardin
