Israel will also be like that once Netanyahu is voted out soon

What’s going on with Airwave? (spoiler: It’s not the end!)

Sounds like the rise of AI absolutely impacted him

    What's your favourite unreleased music?

Will Atkinson - Sun Slip, ~2014 Will made a pretty damn good melodic tech-trancer, but I think this track was created right as he was switching from melodic tech-trance to darker tech-trance. That plus his incomplete attempt at structuring this track well likely caused him to shelve it, leaving...

ANA is awesome. Much cushier than the American airlines.

    What's on your mind today?

I generated some fusion trance. It’s not really worth sharing in the producers section, as it’s AI (via Suno), so it’s not a *real* production in the DAW sense. It’s just a prompt and tbh it sounds muddy if you’ve ever been curious about what kind of trance I would make if I had the musical and...

Interesting perspective. I didn’t know Macklemore potentially did the free Palestine bit at an earlier show

that is honestly pretty charitable towards Macklemore

There has always been public furor about them. Your opinions about Kanye and Chris Brown are pretty common on Reddit [fauxmoi/politics], threads, and among college-educated populations (especially women). Your opinion is also pretty common among kpop stans. Not everyone falls into those buckets

Kanye is a legend. Chris Brown is influential. Macklemore is a washed out artist who had one good song more than ten years ago and who screwed over his friend’s tour. I don’t think this is a complicated argument lol

It’s a worldwide trend and yeah it’s not going to stop

I’ve stayed neutral on that situation, as I don’t really care about Ed Sheeran or the Israel-Palestine conflict but its highly amusing seeing a washed out, irrelevant artist (Macklemore) take down one of the most popular commercial artists in the world

RA interview: Tiësto responds to sellout critics and underground purists

It’s been forever, though. That is late 90s/early 2000s trance *and* hip hop. The modern equivalent would sound much more different

Producers and labels using gen. AI

Something similar to what you asked about actually happened in Japan recently concerning a major pop girl group. To make a long story short, their producer is in his 60s and spent his entire career producing music for pop girl groups. He started in the late 70s and early 80s. For decades, his...

Producers and labels using gen. AI

This was pretty legit. It feels like older early to mid 2010s liquid d&b that a lot of producers simply wouldn’t make today

Producers and labels using gen. AI

tbh I reject the premise with the OP and with everyone who’s anti-AI. AI *can* be used to be innovative and explore musical ideas beyond what a human producer could have considered. How many times did people complain that someone like JOOF or the steroid trance guys (O’Callaghan, Askew, etc.)...

RA interview: Tiësto responds to sellout critics and underground purists

We’re jumping into some wild conclusions here. Ferry, BT, etc. were all much younger during that time. They probably weren’t getting much sleep. Trance’s heyday was probably a big sprint for them. But they also needed to slow down.

RA interview: Tiësto responds to sellout critics and underground purists

I think you’re severely underestimating how much time Tiesto’s new direction needed. I’m not saying that I know, but come on, he likely needed to network with all the younger producers and establish connections with everyone needed to make those collabs happen. And, maybe he simply wanted to...

RA interview: Tiësto responds to sellout critics and underground purists

Are you saying Tiesto should have continued producing trance while he was actively pursuing new genres and collaborations with newer artists? I’d like you to think from Tiesto’s perspective. There’s no reason he should do that instead of simply focusing on his new direction

RA interview: Tiësto responds to sellout critics and underground purists

Honestly I would just combine my previous two responses and it would be a pretty accurate response to this comment as well I don’t even *care* about Tiesto or listen to his music, but come on, it feels like I’m the only one making any sense here
