Nice to see something in this journey prog house/trance style. This type of track is so timeless I am surprised it hasn’t been brought back more. I suspect it must be time consuming to make tracks like this otherwise we’d see it more. A+

hmmm...it kinda has the right ingridients mostly, but somehow i find the build and the drums dull/lifeless and a bit too basic. it doesnt build any tension or momentum...it just has the kinda basic core instruments right, but lacking a more interesting build and arrangement.

overall after hearing the whole, a bit to basic for my liking...and not agreeing its a "journey" type of track, not really..

gotta agree with DS - the drums/percs are made of proper old school samples but the rhythmical pattern they create is just too booooring - no syncopation, no proper groove, the rest of the arrangement is more or less suffering from the same issue - everything's too static and too loopy, despite the classy synths and sounds

a shame really, could've been a top tune if executed properly in these small details that make the difference

You're both are not wrong, it is the typical straight forward formula found with a lot of the artists from this scene. It suits a mix for the club DJ and goer. Percussion is not so much of a problem for me, but I understand the comments. I want to hear more development with atmosphere and melody. With 11 minute track the oppotunity is there.

Agree you with you guys. Lovely ingredients but cant hear any musical journey or identity when all is said and done, so left wanting more. I rate Raeva as producers though, they make some great tracks.

I disagree with most of what's been said here.
For me this is very nice track, it builds and progresses nicely throughout.
Lovely sound design as well.
Sure maybe the "journey" could've been better, but it's not like old Prog producers always overcomplicated/overstuffed their productions either.

If there's anything I would want to see more of Nu-Trance artists making this particular style, is that they'd make more straight-up dark progressive, as most of the tracks in this style for me sound "upbeat"

I would like to see some tracks like this:

Overall though it's a solid effort.

well that track just has 100% more personality to it than op imo. its the sounds/samples/sound-design thats really original. so for me it doesnt always has to be a 11 min "journey" track with lots of complex rhytmic shifts/builds/debuilds/layering/extra melodic lines etc. If a track has a really strong set of sound charachterstics its often more than enough to make it a good track.

actually this track didn't take more than a day or two to do. it was always meant to be a sleeper track, one that just goes under the radar and keep the groove locked. hence the song name. the working title was "tool for when you really need a piss break and freak out because you don't know what to play next so you can put this on and go the bar to get a drink too and have a smoke cheers"

Ha, then I guess the comments were kind of spot on, but to your point the intent was to have something more filler anyway. I listened a few more times and it has grown on me. My previous comment comes from a place of wanting more, because the production, sounds and vibe is so spot on, and that alone is amazing, given the landscape of the rest of Trance. All the ingredients are there to make remarkable music.
