Preordered! Hope Activa gets as much support as possible. Need to show Blackhole that this type of Trance is worth investing more in.

Pre-ordered the CD. Very few compilations to look forward to these days, so hopefully this turns out to be a good one!

Hugely optimistic about this project. Activa knows his stuff and has been most consistent contributor to the scene in last 4 years. He’s chosen a fantastic artists to work with here.

Got my vinyl pre-order! the TL looks spicy as hell, really excited to hear Marcos, Factoria, and all the Movement edits - been a while since Activa used this alias. I feel this will have a similar vibe to POD, where Rob goes for an overarching sound throughout the entire compilation akin to the Movement sound and making a lot of adjustments to quite a few records

Fuck yeah! I just pre-ordered the CD as well!

Super excited for this! In general I prefer compilations all the way, and as said above not many have left to be looking for. THe tracklist is sick, and I am super happy to see many of the guys here being included. Finally Enigma State on a CD as well. Congrats to everyone, really looking forward listening this again and again!

Something important, thanks to Activa, BlackHole and all the artist using Bandcamp and who have normal prices, with normal shipping cost. Some of us are not part of the countries having huge salaries, I would never pay overpriced albums.

On funny note, I checked the price of ASOT 23' CD and I would ahve to pay 47,99 euros after forcing me to use express shipping for 24 euros lmao. Fuck them. I still own none ASOT cd on my collection and as it is I doubt I'll ever buy one.

Very excited to see how this turns out. Will it be Borderline sounding type of record, with the PVD kicks and super clean production or maybe something else?

Expectations high for this. I wonder why Coredata used a different alias, maybe he’s trying a different style from his usual platypus inspired work

BTW, I think the title of this thread should be changed to
Activa - Movement: One (that's how it is marketed)

I initially had some difficulties to find this thread, because I was first searching by the Activa name.

I initially had some difficulties to find this thread, because I was first searching by the Activa name.

It was initially just Movement, then the cover had it as Movement v01, then the links had it Movement: One so it's changed a bit.

Changed the thread title to Activa - Movement: One (Mix compilation) to make it clear that this isn't a single or EP.

This one is released today. Already to be found on Spotify (and probably other streaming services). The mix starts with a great @jetflag production called "The Last Satellite".

Purchase the compilation (on CD if you wish) on Bandcamp:

The vinyl sampler containing a few of the tracks from the compilation, is expected for the end of July.

There's some real gems on here. A few may be a bit standard plucky, but there's some great productions in there. For me these are notable highlights after a first listen (quite some):

Chris Johnson - These Days, Sunda - Mirage, DJ Dazzle - From Within (Activa Remix), Slipstream - Lagrange Point, Activa - I Wanted You, Marcos - Odyssey, Allan Morrow - Strobe, Activa - Formentera, Aerium - Eneabba, Enigma State - Waiting For You, Factoria - Sculptured.

Your Eneabba gave me some Thrillseekers - Synesthesia vibes. Really nice!

skimming thorugh the tracks there seems to be some decent ones here and there, but why does almost every single track has the same type of kick and bassline and hats? or is it just me? nothing in drums/bassline sticks out in one track to the other (some exeptions) and its really weirdly mastered imo. like they put a weird sort of filter on everything. the bass doesnt sound deep and defined but flabby/muddled, the hats/snares sounds super robotic and flat and recessed and mids are too bright. it just doesnt sound as balance/good as it couldve done.

just take a "similar" track from 2004 and its so much better mastered.
