People,

The day is almost here. The highly anticipated (by me) collab between Aerium and myself is finally going to be released, on August the 27th. I'm really proud of this one. It's not the musically deepest one perhaps, but we made a great anthemic festival stormer. The release will see not only the 'anthemic' original version, but we also made a b-side version called the 'Heap of Sand Mix'. That one turned out a bit deeper, rougher, and techier.

Watch out though, it might be a bit too steroid for some of you :)

The lead melody is actually quite unusual and pretty likeable, yet quite repetetive. I dont mind the steroid kick in it, casue it fits the style of the track very well :)

Link probably fails because its a private promo.

I for one am very happy with the track, I had this desert esq sample and melody laying for some time now and just didn't know what to do with it. Tried it a couple of times on various projects, just didn't work. The back & forth with @Magnevi worked out great however. The Heap of Sand mix of which Jan did most of the editing (credit where credits due) is actually my favo of the two since it reminds me of the sound played back when I was out every weekend visiting clubs & parties in my local area. so the more the rougher, early High Contrast, early Mark Norman, Joop, Cosmic gate esq stuff.

Personally, very happy with how it turned out (y)

Nah I uploaded a one-minute snippet, and Soundcloud auto blocked it for copyright infrigment. Thats why theres no clip...

The automatic message said my upload contains “Aerium & Magnevi - COBRA”.

Sounds like magnevi is obsessed with russian/slavic polka melodies :D Not really a fan of it here tbh, but I can still dig in a more "silly" way... It sounds like Joop meets jurgen vries meets dvorak slavonic dances.

Cool fun track, just dont think its cohesive and the different parts dont really work perfect together.

Heap of Sand mix is the one I prefer, specifically because of the climax. In any case, I know both of you have made much better tracks, and to me this isn't one of your best if I'm being completely honest. Just not my style.

Some parts I like. The way the original begins it has my attention and everything sounds balanced, but maybe that kick is too hard and in your face, but not as bad as the heaps of sand mix which is far too steroid for my taste. The intro synth that starts at 1:25 sounds nice but becomes repetitive fast, even though it's just building. You nailed the high contrast square synth with the main one. Back in the younger days I would enjoy that a lot, it sounds really crisp too and has nice variation. It's fun. God damn you for putting cheap EDM snare drum rises at 3:01. The part from 6:20 onwards is banging and I love it. Lovely little elements in there to finish the track.

Even though it's a party track I think you can still strive for a flow feeling, maybe soaring elements, to tie everything together. I don't really feel that here, but I guess its not too much of a biggy with this style. I just think when thats done its what takes it to the next level.
