it's nice, proper dark vibe with a psy twist, could've been faster and a bit more edgy though

one thing that's important to realize this it's all written years ago and just because of the releases timing it might look like Laurent has switched to this upbeat psyish sound just recently but we still have to find out what's he's producing these days for real, maybe it's that more easy listening Retronauts stuff or something even more different. he's recently mentioned he's two thirds done with the new album, hope it won't take 6-7 years to release it and we'll get a better picture of his actual sound. you can surely smell bad management when it takes THAT long to get stuff released

Hurts me to say yet again that his new (/recently released) stuff is not for me.

Here is the full version of the track. I would have liked something more subtle. It sounds sloppy in some areas those arpeggios at 4:20 onwards are just perfect.

The Wasp is a surprising track for me to hear from him, His more energetic tracks from around 10 years ago had so much more sophistication, atmosphere and build. This one sounds too generic for my ears.

Tears In Rain I prefer a lot more, although still would trade in the psy-trance foundation for something more sophisticated, but the melodies are very good. Maybe this one can grow on me.

the thing is they both, especially The Wasp, do lack details and depth Airwave's capable of creating, made more in the modern sketchy way, without a thought of going an extra mile

still better that all that depressive progressive stuff his been putting for about a decade 'course
