OUT Akkima - Moments [Pure Trance]

Akkima are Matt Allen (UK) and Akki Hisham (Norway). They are also known as C-Systems and are no strangers to us or the trance world. Moments saw its club debut play at Lumi At The Beach earlier this year, when Solarstone dropped it literally hours after receiving it as a demo via his inbox and it had a huge impact on the post-lockdown trance-starved crowd. Grooving at 128 bpm and being pumped full of positive energy it’s sun-drenched piano hook resulted in beaming smiles on the dance floor. Moments was subsequently included on the Pure Trance Vol. 9 compilation and is the first single gleaned from that album’s track list. Here comes the sun!

I really like this track from the first time I heard in on ASOT as an ID. The main lead is just soo catchy 8/10 from me

 

[Propeller]

Going on a beatport spree tonight, gonna have to add this to my shopping list. Such a warm infectious melody and nice, clean production. Lovely breakdown too.

 

[Daysleeper]

Its not a bad track..however i dont like the beatwork/bass, its one-dimensional and too sluggish/mellow/background/lazy/simple whatever.

theres some cool quirks here and there but overall its way to basic and predictible, chords way too basic aswell. Theres a huge lack of wow-i-wonder-where-this-is-going-moment. The piano sounds too digital aswell.

Variation lacks and I don't like the piano or main lead. It strangely sounds like something else I can't put my finger on.
