In the works since around 2020, Beating Heart is one of the many tracks I have worked on and off over the past 2 or 3 years.

I felt like releasing something as I am sitting on a lot of stuff. So there it is, I think this is finished enough but not yet the best of what I have to offer.
I am reserving that for maybe something else.

Inspirations are the usual (Anjunabeats, 2000s Trance...) and I do think this sounds a bit better than my last original upload.
Even though it was from a time I did some weird stuff to get some of the sounds I wanted. Mastering is also not perfect nor mixing but I do like the result!

I'd love to hear feedback about what sounds good and what doesn't.

- love the bassline,
- kick could use a bit more low end, but that might be my taste.
- your crash/fx cymbals need work. they're a bit basic. same goes for (I would say) some additional percussion layers.
- your synth work is nice and on point.
- pluck sound is great, but the melody doesn't really work for me. its a bit hard to remember/whistle.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah the crashes are very dry and the percussion is indeed pretty simplistic.
I have since made better on those.

Yeah, I struggle with melodies. Probably the biggest issue in my tracks imo.

About the bassline, I'm glad it's on point, I am a sucker for these xD.

Yes, the kick is a bit subdued on the low end. I noticed I have the tendency to do that.
