After a considerable amount of time sitting on it, I'm finally releasing yet another track here. Ocean is a creation that has been in the works since around 2020 just like "Beating Heart" and has undergone several iterations over the past few years.

Although I initially intended to hold onto it and pitch it as a demo to a label, I decided to release it as is. It's one of the best productions I've done to date, from the melody to the mixing and mastering. As usual my inspirations are Uplifting Trance, which I've been a fan of for a long time. You may even recognize some of the influences that went into it.

Anyway here's the YouTube video:

I'd be happy to hear what you think of it. Please feel free to share your thoughts and feedback with me.
While it may not be my best work yet, I think it's definitely worth sharing here.

The inspirations for this track are what you'd expect from me (Anjunabeats, 2000s Trance), and I believe it sounds better than my last original upload.
Although I made use of some unconventional "techniques" to achieve certain sounds in the past, I'm happy with the result of the mixing and mastering in this track.

I can see what you were going for and I think you've mostly achieved it, congrats on that.
Some of the sounds are a bit too flat for me, maybe it has to do with the mixing, and it may be a bit too generic.

Anyway, if this were the early 2000s you could have submitted this for an ASOT episode.

I like the overall production, you've definitely captured that 2000's Anjuna sound.

Not too sure on the chord progression though, those final 2 chord changes in your progression sound a bit off to me.
I think I see what you mean with the progression, I honestly don't know much about music theory so I feel it makes it hard for me to notice if things are off or not. I have a good sense if it's dissonant or not but it's not perfect!

Thanks for the words! Yeah I kind of panic tweaked the mixing while uploading... I had a final version but I realized that the synths were too loud on the mix so I brought them down. Which in turn made them too quiet so I probably overcorrected it.
