Very annoying public transport wise. Utrecht was perfect. Good that 1000 was my goodbye one xd

I am not impressed to be honest. it looks like boiler room or top gear kind of setup with the way itäs being presented. I much prefer the previous venue they were at it looked better. This one looks dull especially with the rain that Netherlands has on a constant basis. The new track is terrible as well my fart sound better than this new track by 3 talented former trance producers

I wouldn't have gone with that kind of performance/crowd format personally. Boiler room is people really turning up for a show, it is like a video club performance and the closeness of the crowd is what makes it unique. Obviously it can produce can cringe moments but ultimately it is authentic in the sense people are there to dance hard and probably get on it.

This ASOT one is indeed a bit top gear, where its an audience rather than a crowd, not really a place to properly dance and feel it. Might be difficult for the crowd to reciprocate the energy that a EDM/Trance show like this will have. Could be quite cringe/awkward for a lot of it, but could be wrong. Bit of a cold environment too, with not too much personality. Less tacky than the previous white space maybe, but did feel on brand.

I don't know if I'm following some of the comments here. I'll clarify just in case: asot 2024 (festival) nor the usual asot radioshow will be in that studio! lol.. that was just a one off thing to announce that the asot 2024 festival will be at Rotterdam Ahoy, as they are closing and demolishing The Jaarbeurs.

I'm not sure how suitable that location will be for such a (relatively) large event, we'll see.

The anthem is the strongest in years, of that there is no question. Bloody brilliant. The Picotto sound needs a bit of refining imo, probably didn't really need that really but I get why they put it in. Really like it.

That studio is terrible, did they say they're staying there with the broadcast now or was it just this week?

Have they said anywhere what their mission is? I mean, how do these so called legends of trance have the audacity to actually bring the kind of music they do to the scene. The EDM scene which is unfortunately mixed into the trance scene. The track on the above video is exquisitely produced and involves 1 or 2 truly wonderful sounds, but with the rest and the overall feeling.
Its . ‘Im gonna delude you into thinking it’s actual trance incase you weren’t listening in the 90s or can’t recognise the difference because you’re easily led’ type EDM.
Im starting to wonder if ( especially Ferry ) actually wrote his classic tracks and later gems because if you look at Tiesto…We all realise he didn’t. He used one Ghost producer for many of his tracks and probably had limited influence on the tracks production. Dennis Wakoop was the chap who made them. Did he do Armins and ferrys too? Or did anyone else make them? I just can’t understand why they’re ( armin etc) happy to loose their integrity. Perhaps dignity too. Its not as if they needed the money.

This is their new radio broadcast studio with 5 different other levels
Boiler Room is fucking amazing, you take that back!
It's ok too many drunk people on there though.

They even have the hot girl at the front with the tight pants so it is like top gear.
