So here is some sounds i put together with my hardware synths ASM Hydrasynth and Novation Basstation 2. Plus vsts

Not a Finished song or arrangement as such (although a few sections are good I feel in that way). Some of what you hear will probably be structured differently (as per ) …but its here just to display the hardware synths together and what i cooked up with them (at last).

Off course it will be Muuuuccchhh longer when finished

That plucked melody is from an existing trance track I feel. Can't really tell which one, but I feel it's very familiar.

Sounds good though, like a long intro.

Ta! Was a lot of fun. Do you think it has an older early 90s feel but maybe with a modern twist?

The familiar melody.
Shit. I promise im not friends with Ed Sheeran! Honestly.

which particular pluck do you mean, The one with a short loop or the more melodic one with longer intervals ?

The short loop is a arpeggiator preset so I didn’t realise the vst would put it on there if its a one used by someone.

Incidentally guys. Im conscious of the fact i post a few tracks on here and receive helpful feedback, but haven’t finished those tracks. Not Finishing tracks…. Its a known syndrome for producers im afraid, but your time and reflection is not wasted. With every comment i learn something. And off-course i will endeavour to finish all my latest WIP’s as i feel im creating some good projects these days. But theres a big issue most producers have and it’s very frustrating at times.
Finishing Tracks. !

Thanks for everything you say and support me with tho peeps. Tis much appreciated

You mean this don’t you guys.? I actually don’t know the track at all but looks as if il have to change my pluck melody. Its so similar and probably the mistral one is at times exactly the same.

Updated:
-Refined sounds,
-Corrected timing of notes
- Altered a little the melody thats like GtR Mistral
-upped tempo to 126bpm.

** Note: I think the arrangement /structure is good till 1.46

Beyond that i only winded it down to make clip listenaby more friendly

Mastered to hear potential. ( quickly using Cloudbounce)

Im thinking of adding a new melody or sound at 1.46, drop the backing sequence that sounded a bit like another track (GTR Mistral) at around 1.46 so it’s basically there just over a minute and it stopping there may be a good way to introduce a breakdown with a new subtle part added then breaking down. . (the melody il stop is one that starts around. 030. Go with that section with new sound / subtle melody for around 16 bars then break it down, then rebuild with a new theme and 1 thick sound to be main melody, continue with variations, add perc and a few other sounds, add a new bass fairly soon into it. Experiment with the vocal samples. Add another Tibet or asian sound for atmosphere and look at bringing in a pad mid way through this new theme, then finish with outro of pad variations and something a little different il look for sound wise. Aiming for 8 mins but il see what happens. Could even end with the first melody from the intro.

Probably going to rename it, the wetlands sample (atmospheric one at beginning) is from wetlands in Thailand so just called it that for now.

I did this mastered with cloud bounce just to hear potential

Here is a further update. Ive added a few sounds and fx. Few perc and alterations to kick. Got a interesting arp to structure properly later too. Track Still need to arrange proper after about 2 mins but i do have ideas for that. @Gagi I keep thinking back to when you mentioned having eastern sounds in trance. Or making trance with new ideas, Im kinda trying to make this a little eastern. But i think this style may have been done before. But i am trying to be different in a way.

As im never sure when il next get a chance to develop a track im posting this but want you peeps to keep in mind the arrangement after 2 mins will be altered. But up till then. Whats the arrangement like? I also add a few sounds after to structure properly later.
Hope you like. @dmgtz96 @Daysleeper and @jetflag and @Magnevi and @LostLegend. @Magdelayna And many others actually but won’t tag all. Sorry to bother you but would really love to know your thoughts if you have a few mins. @Hensmon, thanks for your private comments on our Private conversation. Really enjoying this one. Probably enough to actually finish it soon. Its my main track focus currently. @ Gagi @Hensmon. If all goes well with it, is it a style you’d consider releasing through TF-R? Probably my favourite project so far. Incidentally i dont really know what to call it. Anyone have ideas for a name?

That last version really sounds amazing, your songs always have a more subtle hipnotic/trance-y sound, it really reminds me of 90's trance.

So i have a plan for this track. Check latest version , (reposted on this post comment for reference) if you want to reflect /feedback .

Here is my idea.

Name change to ‘Entrance to Nirvana’

—-Track structure—-

Put last bit in current mix at the end for a final build up/crescendo. On current mix don’t have last sound / Arp where it is. That could be at the last 32 bars etc of the final ‘main section, starting around 5/6 mins in. Do something else at the point it currently comes in, (at 2.13 on current mix) add a subtle melody / sound etc. then progress theme with important structure and arrangement for a few mins, then breakdown or whatever structure is necessary, then build up again and end with the last 1.5 minutes of whats there now but with slight alterations then do an outro.

one sound i will change thats currently there. The brass type that doesn’t work at the moment.

Incidentally, i will change fx on the vocal, (made by a friend of mine). I want to make the vocal sample impact bigger. Reverb, clever delays and echoes etc.

More progress but more to add. Did some experiments at the end. Gonna see if i can bring initial sounds back at the end a glue it together. I realise there are a few bars that need filling up and inserting sounds mid way.
