Angel Child is a euphoric journey that taps into the essence of the golden era of trance music, a time when ethereal melodies and driving rhythms converged to create a sonic landscape that was both transcendent and emotionally charged. This track captures the spirit of the late 90s and early 2000s, with its signature blend of soaring synths, pulsating basslines, and anthemic breakdowns, all on display.

It seems to be the current trend of making Trance like its from 1999 with producers now - but this is just making it for the sake of it - nothing really stands out. Its well produced if youre trying to cram in every cliche from 99 in a track....but i would like a great melody to go with it!
Yeah, exactly. It feels bandwagon-y and quite frankly, uninspired. It contains the bare minimum.

Yep, the sound is there, while the melodies and new interesting ideas are gone :)
Solid, not bad, not awesome 6/10

I legit started 🥱 listening to this boring 99' clone melody (the way its executed overall made me tired, absolutely 100% predictable forumla and production is too loose & lifeless around it almost no identity/soul (sounds like a Ghost production rather *cough*) when it should be much more tighter considering its got kearney's brand name, but sadly it sounds very saggy like grandma trance (the kick just causing everything to lag behind it due to ultra slow / laid back decay on it for the intended 99' feel but actualy ended up sounding a bit too try hard).

Clearly some producers are afraid of trying to replicate the 2008 era as they must know how difficult it must be to nail down completely, but i still I hope that its going to be the next viral trend
(f*ck this 99' cheesy/cringe festival & instead give us 2005 - 2008 era all over again).

I think the exact opposite of trance4ever. Its one of kearneys better work, even though the track is flawed. Personally i like the kinda more lofi kick and the lite groove to the bassline, the bells are a cool touch, the riff is simple but effective and it has a nice layered feel when it builds up to it. It has some cheesy spoken vox and its s bit short. I rather have this than another modern steroid-infused trancer.

Edit: i can def see his point though. It is sounding loose and a bit amateur. But ive always experienced kearney like this tbh. Just more or less. A producer that always tried, but really never grew out a more mature/developed sound. Maybe hes a better dj than producer/music creator.

From my pov it’s a decent tune, and one that will be going straight into the playlist folder.

Yeah it's missing the finesse.
