It's a pleasant summery album. I enjoyed Nevertheless, All This Time Alone and 1985.

First track is pretty sweet, deserves a better vocal than that autotuned (?) one.

Not gonna beat a dead horse over by again stating how his " first albums where bettur and more memorabul"

Instead going with, Lovely summery album, Chicane's signature "calm-down" chord style progression from the last decade is fairly omnipresent but certainly not unpleasant. In combo with the dreamy vocals, balearic drums, arpeggio's and ambient make this a proper album for a day on the beach or an aftersurf 🙏

Unfortunately this is mostly awful apart from the closing track. Vocal laced trash and those that aren't are unimaginative and far too short. I LOVED his evolution version of Far From The Maddening Crowds, I was bloody nervous about that as the original album is one of my all time favourites and still a regular go to. But for me at least, Chicane has been far too pop oriented after Behind The Sun; and even Don't Give Up from that was borderline for me. Yeah another grumpy old guy moaning about old stuff gud nu stuff baaaaad, but it really is in this case.

edit: and the Kate Bush drum loop rip off on the second track gave me the shits too

Like most of his latest albums, it's lacking some true hits, but the overall quality is as usual excellent.
Someone will say that it's too cheesy and just a more-of-the-same, but I absolutely love his style, a little different from a few years ago but always recognizable and unique. Especially unique, no one else is making this kind of music, of this quality, these days.
His radio show Sun:Sets is sometimes a little too eclectic at times, but god what a breath of fresh air.

Thank you Nick for yet another masterpiece of an album.
