It’s just a marketing strategy from Armada. Remixes till death, brings the most money/streams. If it's a boring remix, people might click through other remixes. So before you know it... 6/7 streams. Well played.

Remix by young Marco V

Haha, be careful what you wish for. He actually has a son who also is ""making it"" in music... it's Thomas Newson, who - not at all because he has a famous dad - already made a remix for Armin's "Alone" on the Intense cd. Releasing EDM mostly on labels like Spinnin. So yeah. Basically touring the world as a superstar.

It's weird to see a rare case of the two scenes almost crossing over like this. I find it quite refreshing that the producers represented in the 'Old School/Classic Trance' thread seemingly have no interest in support from the old guard, but simultaneously weird that even the likes of J00F or Solarstone haven't caught on to Bliss Inc, Dylan Forbes, Alex Kassian, Rambal Cochet...etc. But long may it continue that way.
It's incredibly head-scratching to me.
On the other hand though, some of the less "pure" hard trance or tech trance folk like David Rust, Shugz, Big Bill, and Everlight have started playing out some of the more leftfield or underground hard trance/techno artists like Julian Muller, Basswell, and Dj Daddy Trance (even Paula Temple??). Really shows to me who in the scene is more willing to get a little weird and branch out.

An insult to the original which for me is one of the all time greats. That gated sound feels so cheap, and the whole track lacks any of the magic, soul or depth which the original had in bucketloads.

Okay, the gated vocal is fine when it's in the background, but not in the foreground. Not a fan of the abrupt ending either. Apart from that, I still stand by what I said earlier as I'm liking this a lot. Much better than the average trance song at least (can't fully comment on how this compares to the original since that song is almost 5 years older than I am haha)
