There are quite a few hard trance songs on this forum, so do you like hard trance? And what is your favorite hard trance song/producer?
For me it is Ultraform - Music is movin´ (real name Fabian Kempe from Sweden). Why? He is less known, almost everybody know scot project, Yoji Biomehanika as they are also great, but ultraform is less know among listeners.

Ultraform is pretty dope but sadly he came into the scene pretty late, he had his own label "Fools Forest" packed with the most experimental supernatural of electronic music at that time, worth checking it out.

Been digging up HT for quite some time now, funny thing is i wasn't really a HT guy until quite recently. My top 3 are pretty much as followed and so on
Anyway I assume you had your fair share of Flutlitcht (has this guy ever had any mediocre productions?) , Dumonde , green court, derb, Scot Project, ASYS, Alphazone so here are my perilous ride into the journey of hard trance where it stood tall and mighty during 1999-2004.

Axel Coon - Lamenting City [2004] was my first hard-trance track. It's nothing groundbreaking, but I would say it's well-executed and full of energy

Another dope hard trance track is Log:One & DJ Wragg - Creatures [2008]

For producers themselves, I would say Technikal is my favorite, even though his style is cheesier than you would expect from hard trance.

Hard Trance pre-2000 was really great, after 2000 everything just sounded the same. I can't find a difference in those supersaw Hard Trance tracks, maybe only Andreas Krämer (Junk Project, Aquaplex, Solid Sleep, Russenmafia) made some good tracks here and there.

Btw..I love to play this tune at private parties, all my friends also love it and I think this is my most favorite one, it works really well in a house/techno mix.

Mandala - Evolution Theme

Yes, but more into something like Jetflag's alias above.

First, JK Walker (and all his aliasers). I think I like most of his tracks: Solar Flare, Double Life, Inertia, and so on.
MTW - Flashback

Next, Audiowarp. Their tracks can be hard but techy and atmospheric at the same time.
Audiowarp - Nightlife

And, Mauguzun. His tracks are mostly hit and miss for me but I really love this one.
JTB & Dj The Corbz - Cosmos (Mauguzun Remix)

From the early 00's definitely Alphazone was the top name.

Early 10's mainly names like Nomad, SHOCK:FORCE, Log:One, Wragg etc. (loving the reverse basses)

And these days Renegade System keeps the pace.

And I also liked more "speedy" and "funky" (but now kinda outdated) UK hard trance, artists like Technikal, Carl Nicholson, Lee Haslam etc. (Tidy Two and Nukleuz stuff)

My favourite is the emotional hard trance and my #1 are obviously Alphazone, followed by Ace da Brain, Flutlicht, SCHOKK and DuMonde.

Mat Silver - Unique

Ralph Novell - Wrong Love (Alphazone Remix)

But I also love a strictly hard trance, where my favourite are Scot Project and Überdruck.

Überdruck Boys - Blue Pill (Überdruck Mix)

DJ X2000 - Modem (DJ Scot Project Remix)

Right now I'm constant;y listening to Renegade System, who's my current favourite tech & hard trance producer of the last 2 years.

Renegade System & Rainer K - The Spirit (Original Mix)

Log:One - Celexa [2010]
Crazy that a track like this coincides with the start of steroid trance, yet feels so ancient.

So what happened to that Log:One hard trance style? Did hardstyle or steroid trance absorb it? Was there never a "true" replacement?

hard trance got pretty stale and lack ingenuity after that just like every hard genre. It got split into 2 types, first one is the UK style which is pretty much Alphazone, JK Walker, BK type and the second one is the everybody tried to copy that sa.vee.oh + scot project formula that consist of long bubbly acid chain, zipper styled melody combined with 'everybody wants to be harder then the other' which formulated into its own steroid that is so deafening at times, drowning out everything with excessive rage
