There are indeed modulations all over the lead and the twangy hook. The lead melody came out of nowhere really but it did take me a few weeks to build it into what it became, but on the day it came together I reckon it was done in about 10 mins. Then the challenge was getting the Nord Lead 3 to behave itself while it played through. Initially the slight portamento was dialled in using pitch mod, but that kept getting tourettes, so I re-did it using the global porta and then setting the overlap on the midi notes - with quantize off to get it right. That was as painful as it sounds, but that lead was worth it. Screenshot of the lead midi is below.View attachment 2154
When will it be on Spotify?
Thanks for the info. I didn't know it was that hard to do. Assumed labels could just upload and manage it themselves.Have to see if that's possible. Uploading to Spotify and streaming platforms is unfortunately not as simple as it should be. They make you outsource it to pay third party distributors (of which they sneakily own one of the big ones) and adding an EP where every track is from a different artist might not be possible. I've had a look online and not found a solution, but also contacted their support, so I will see what they say.
Might be the reason why so few underground release can be found on Spotify.
