Matt Fax doesn't produce uplifting trance. Well known from Silk Music label.LOL that was not what I expected. I thought it would be a pretty standard 138 tech-trancer.
Never thought Gouryella would get a prog house, Lane 8-style remix. I like the little instrument at 1:58 - you could translate this track very well to a folk remix with real instruments, Meute style.
Matt Fax is definitely on my radar, and I'm looking forward to more content from him!
Can't play it on their radio showIt makes me laugh that they will officially release this but wont let me share my chilled versions of the Gouryella tracks which are coming up to around half a million plays on Youtube. It would help if i could somehow contact Ferry but its proving impossible.
Old skool trance fans stand up!It sucks!
its just a standard snooze fake prog track with the gourella melody in the break. current fans dont care, old fans dont care.I

Yep, and that makes it more accessible for the newer generation which probably doesn't know it or has not heard it!Damn, sometimes I forget that you can make a remix for fun...I've done it a lot of times, often with big classics.
This is actually the first track I hear from him, haha.Matt Fax doesn't produce uplifting trance. Well known from Silk Music label.
No reason necessary, but his sound doesn't have a deadmau5 feel to it. If anything, this producer is closer to Lane8/Avoure/Tchami. Sure, this Gouryella remix isn't as good as Aura or Ghosts, but it's legit enough and fits nicely with modern house. It's precisely what a 2020/2021 remix of Gouryella should sound like.Yeah, I would also like to know the reason behind it. I don think the deadmau5 prog followers like matt fax etc likes Gouryella even.
Its not. It says so but that doesnt make it a real remix. That's on you, because it *is* a remix no matter whether you think it is or not.

Theres zero connection to the original. The production is his usual snooze prog, then he just added the chords in the middle. Theres no connection. Why isnt anyone trying to do a proper remix? Not just desperate tries to cash in by adding some chords from famous old trance song in the break. Sigh.
And im def no Gouryella fanboy (far from it). Although I see its place in the timeline of trance and its still a proper catchy track.
