One of my old favourites is reissued on vinyl since yesterday, the fantasic 'Tension' and 'Harmonic Content' from 'Peter Benisch' aka 'Harmon Eyes'!
also a discogs review from 2004:
the 1994 vinyl release was going from 38€ to 159€ on discogs, so its greats to see this release again available in the best quality
Harmon Eyes - Tension [Loop Records] 1994
Harmon Eyes - Harmonic Content [Loop Records] 1994
Harmon Eyeas - Junoctal [Loop Records] 1994
Legendary project from Swedish producer Harmon Eyes, originally released in 1994, now reissued on Proxima with a new remix by Audrey Danza. Masterpiece!
Proxima proudly presents the reissue of the highly sought-after "Chasing Golden Planet" EP by Stockholm-based producer Peter Benisch, known by his alias Harmon Eyes. This rare record, first released in 1994, sounded way ahead of its time, blending dreamy floating acid with techno and trance, captivating listeners with its innovative soundscapes. Featuring remastered tracks and a fresh new remix by Audrey Danza, this release is a sublime roller and an essential addition for any electronic music enthusiast.
also a discogs review from 2004:
Even 10 years ago Peter Benisch was creating deep, melodic and fascinating music.
The first 3 tracks are trance music with some good 303's. Tension has a chugging bassline and a drum pattern that moves the track on. The most interesting part is the warm high synth pads in the background that contrast with rest of the music, and later some nice 303 work. It feels very delicate and beautiful even though it has a trance beat. Overall very warm and dreamy. The drum pattern as always is interesting.
Citric Acid has a bassline that sounds very much like the formation of hard trance starting, but back when many sub genres of trance were coming about. This bassline led track sounds very much like what High-Gate would be doing years and years later.
Harmonic Content is again typical of much of the Harmon Eyes stuff, a generally good beautiful trance track.
The last track, Junoctal is one of the first ambient tracks ever released by Peter Benisch. It shows the first forming stages of the style which was to be developed much further on Soundtrack Saga, with some of the unique techniques he employs in song structure and harmony.
In short well worth tracking down, as every track holds its own .
