I like it, but its too similar to his other tracks. Dont get me wrong - having a sound that is ones own is good but its way too similar, not distinct enough. The drums/bass and and drum arrangement overall could be more diverse and interesting. Hutan is still his best track. This feels unfinished imo. It doesnt have enough interesting musical ideas and developement.

He doesn't do much, but when he does it's always very good. Hutan and Matahari hard to beat.

I personally dont think the similarity between this track and his others is that strong. If no one had told me it was Hoopoe I would not have known unless really paying attention. Very nice track. Do agree that more musical content would have taken it to next level. I thought the vocal atmos were good, maybe something there. Glad he is back!

Reminds me of tracks from Borderline. I think he would be a good fit for a release there. Good tune.

Cheers to everyone else for the nice comments. I was hoping to have had more material out there by now, I'm sitting on an albums worth but interest has been lukewarm. Sadly one of the biggest stumbling blocks is that I have no real social media presence, so if you could give me a follow/subscribe on any of these platforms it will definitely help me to either get it signed, or it will allow you to hear first if I end up self-releasing:
