OUT John OO Fleming - The Explorer - Chapter 1 [JOOF Recordings]

It's been a little while since we've seen new music from label boss John 00 Fleming, and for good reason. For the last couple of years he's been busy writing music taking time and care time to push new boundaries and as always pushing himself forward musically. Throughout this year we'll see the rewards of all this hard work leading with this gorgeous deep hypnotic pice of work.

This is pretty alright. A bit samey throughout but not boring at all. Love the atmospheres, pads, the vocals, FX, the bass and all the little things he sprinkles here and there.

 

[Enlusion]

It's a good progressive track that sounds like his collab with Rick Pier O'Neil. For me it sounds like there's even more RPO than John in this one. Anyway, I expected something much more special from John after such a long pause. It's a good track, no more, no less.

Meh.. havent heard a good track from him in years. Boring modern bullshit percussions

To be honest, I heard nothing exhilarating in this track. I understand John wanted to move away to a different sound but this does nothing for me emotionally

For this style I enjoyed it, but you have to be in the mood, but yes rather emotionless.

 

[Propeller]

I really like this. The negatives are that the build up and outro are too long and monotonous. The positives that the bassline is chugging, deep and groovy at the same time.
The breakdown and the synths are the highlight. Fairly simple but have a cool electro sound and pack a lot of energy, really make me wanna lose it on the dancefloor. Lots of nice atmospheric sounds in the background too. Good effort from the man.

This has no color. Its not even bad, when it starts I like much but then just never changes and for 10 minutes??
