old school kinda synths and melodies do not excuse lazy production, I just don't get it.
back in the days there were poor sounding tracks, quite a lot of them. but that was absolutely natural, due to the expensive gear, less developed software, less easy accessible knowledge etc. in 2023, you don't need to go for shit quality to make your tracks sounds old-school, especially if you're someone like Jonas.
make it old-school but make it an ear candy, ffs, it's not the muddy weak mixdown that we love in the old trance music, it's reach melodic soundscapes, creative drums, less cheap 'put your fn hands up' parts etc
