What's the last thing you bought?

Personally I pre-ordered the special edition of Ghost of Tsushima (PS4) in the beginning of the week, just a few days before release. Just picked it up today, now I can't wait to get started.

So with the creation of the 2 threads for music purchases in the Music Discussion section, lets make this thread non-music.

Finally bought a french-press and upgraded from my cheap percolator. And completely satisfied with the results. No more half-assed watery coffe with close to zero aroma.

If you want flavour, may I suggest buying cezve (Turkish coffee pot)? Relatively inexpensive, makes great (although unfiltered) coffee. Use it daily. It's typically made out of brass or copper, but you can find metal ones as well (I use the bottom one).

Well, i just purchased the french-press and right now im in coffe-heaven, but if you insist, I'll try that out, sooner or later ;)

Unfiltered coffe is a no-go though. Sure you get use to it, but if you are used to filtered coffe its not something you choose on top of you list, but given the price of it I look it up next time I get an urge to try something new.

Thankfully we can still walk outside with a facemask....
But I have the feeling that we will be forced to use one anytime soon.
So I ordered this set from the Armada Shop:

Plan on getting one a well at some point. But I'm really not into washing more dishes - now I just need to wash cezve (and while it's hot, you can just run it through tap water and it'll clean itself completely), whereas with my steam coffee machine I had to empty and wash the filter, as well as the glass pot into which the coffee drips, as well as all the removable plastic parts. And it's heaps better, taste-wise. More intense flavour. Best if you roast and grind the beans yourself.

As far as the unfiltered thing goes, yeah you get used to it, but you also don't drink the ground coffee, as it ends up on the bottom of the mug. Until it cools down enough for you to drink it, it almost solidifies itself on the bottom, so as long as you don't mix it it stays there.
