I recently bought a new sports suit because I came across the chair yoga app on BetterMe. It’s been a game-changer for me! The exercises are perfect for staying active without overdoing it, and I love how I can do them from a chair. It’s a simple yet effective way to stretch and improve flexibility, and it pairs perfectly with my new gear!

At the start of the year, I went on a trip, and did a couple of hikes. There was a bit of snow, a bit of fog, a bit of light rain. Couple that with the fact that I was constantly taking the lens on/off my camera and shooting a lot in general, I managed to make both my lens, and my camera sensor pretty dirty. Focus doesn't work anymore with that lens as I suspect that it's due to the dirt on the inside. A proper cleaning might fix it, but that means I have to take it apart, which is slightly outside of my comfort zone.

So I decided it was about time to invest in a higher-quality, weather-sealed lens.

My investment: Olympus/OM System 12-45mm f/4 PRO lens. I don't plan on taking it off, so no chance to put some dust inside.

The only thing left now is perhaps to invest in larger focal lengths, and I've already got my eye on an 40-150mm f/4 PRO option. But I still can't justify the cost of it.

Also bought a general cleaning kit for the camera sensor, as well as the lens.

In addition, just ordered some magnetic buckles, and I plan on making a custom mounting system for my backpack. The plan is to not carry the camera around my neck anymore, but suspend it from my backpack's shoulder straps and their mounting points.

Got a 2-person tent from my friends for my birthday. It was a cheap one for sure, but I've been putting off camping simply because of the entry price. I wanted something lightweight, so that I can carry it in my backpack, and spend nights in amazing places.

Anyhow, that cheap tent was the catalyst, so I bought:

- 0-degree down sleeping bag (from a guy online - it isn't sold in Serbia, but I got it brand new for 50% retail)
- foam sleeping pad
- inflatable sleeping pad
- inflatable pillow
- backpack straps for mu custom camera-carrying system (all from Decathlon)

Tent is the heaviest at around 2.5 kg, and also the largest. Sleeping bag is around 900g but compresses very well. Inflatable sleeping pad is around 670g in total, and the pillow 140g. Foam pad is 480g. It was around 230 Euros for all of the above, and I'm quite satisfied with that.

All in all, the biggest and heaviest item is the tent. The poles and stakes weigh almost an entire kilogram already, and the tent material covers up the rest. Feels very sturdy, but also cheap. If I get into camping proper, I might just invest in a lighter (or more compressible), larger tent. I already ordered some lightweight tent stakes to reduce the weight by at least a bit.

Now all that's left is to convince my girl to enjoy/endure the many discomforts of camping outdoors with me. The beauty part is easy.

And also some titanium cookware etc.

Oh, and how did I forget, I also need a fucking 50-60 liter backpack to carry it all. Should set me back around 150 Euros to get the one I like - at that price point it's still a decently cheap one, but it's still expensive for a thing I'd use twice a year.
