Miracle had cheesy lyrics but the oceanlab wasn't half bad nice downtempo album. I like the TATW version of Miracle compared to the remix album version.of course there has to be Marsh remix for the most famous Oceanlab tune
at this point his template remixes of vocal trance classics feel like a joke went too far
It was great for what it was, none of the new remixes impressed me yet though, especially not Marsh's copy-paste oneMiracle had cheesy lyrics but the oceanlab wasn't half bad nice downtempo album. I like the TATW version of Miracle compared to the remix album version.
In January 2023, I got the exciting message from Anjuna to see if I’d like to remix an Oceanlab classic of my choice! I remember asking a number of friends to see which track they thought I should take on but I think I already had the answer deep down - it had to be ‘Sirens Of The Sea’ - one of my all time favourite trance anthems.
I remember jumping the gun and getting to work before Anjuna had sent the remix parts and to my horror, when the parts arrived they were missing the second verse and part of the first verse!! I messaged Anjuna and they said, “you’ll have to do what you can with what you’ve got!” (Sorry Anjuna for dropping you in it!) They looked at old backups, old hard drives but they didn’t have the parts anymore - They were gone!! My heart sank. I had such a vibe and vision for the remix but I wouldn’t be able to finish my work without the full vocal. Then I had a grand idea. I wondered, who remixed this back in the day? Maybe they still had the remix parts kicking around? MaorLevi to the rescue! Apparently the remix pack was sent to him on a CD back in the day! He uploaded it for me and it had everything I needed - We were back on track. Thank you Maor!
I got the missing files the day I was flying out to Vegas to start a big three day weekend of the album tour - Vegas, SF and LA - but this remix HAD to be finished for ALL upcoming shows so I finished the first draft on the plane! There’s a video of me playing a super early draft of it in San Francisco on YouTube.

that's a poor and careless approach from the label, they could've contacted the past remixers themselves to check if they might still got it, not exactly a rocket science that. no wonder they didn't though, these whole new remixes series sound just like that - 'just do something, we don't really care'
Tbh, yeah and it even sounds like that, Seven Lions Remix is poor as well… and they’re selling it in vinyl box for 150€ (plus shipping)… ofc, you all can do with your money what you want (I spent definitely too much for vinyl records) but personally I don’t recommend it to anyone…
