TOTY!

Now I finally understand why High-res is not always the answer, as it depends on a record to record and the type of mix/master, plus other factors is it actually a 24bit file export or has it simply been upscaled from original 16bit wav source.

I couldn't understand why I wasn't feeling the impact with 24bit version of Survival (Tidal/Qobuz streaming), then I went and picked up the 16bit Beatport version, which sounds much more cleaner, cohesive and punchier (not as exaggerated soundstage as 24bit which takes away the impact). Personally I don't trust it anymore if a release has 2 versions available (16bit + 24bit), because the labels could just submit whatever they like to Tidal/Qobuz so i'll let my ears work it out, for example; Slipstream & Sonic Element - Forgiven 24bit sounds way more impactful and cleaner compared to 16bit beatport version which itself could even be a direct result of upscaling or its actually 24bit or Vice versa 24bit project downscaled to 16bit for Beatport/Juno and 24bit for Tidal/Qobuz - both tracks released on the same parent-label).

Edit:
16bit for the Headphones 🎧
24bit for the Speakers 🔊

@Trance4Ever You know you can edit your posts, right? 😄
Tbh i was trying to bump the thread as it deserves more attention and sometimes i don't like editing my old posts..as nearly 80% of what i use to post had been edited and then i end up doing the same at my job on Teams, so trying to refrain from editing for a change for sake of professionalism lol.

Outro part is the best thing I've heard in a while. Truely addictive. Loving these gorgeous sub bass grooves with HUGE textures + character/charm/personality.

Reminds me a bit of Basically and Karma which I guess is appropriate given that this is a collab. The way the vocal's placed also instantly made me think of Skylab.

Either way, great track. Waiting for this to hopefully pop up on Bandcamp. :)
